Question about a breeder Ok guys I need a opinion for someone experienced with the Yorkie breed. I was searching You Tube, looking at the yorkie movies, and saw a site that I wonder about. The lady that breeds the pups, is called Yorkie mom, the puppies are pretty, but she makes a big deal about them being micros or teacups, and that sent up a red flag with me, then I saw the mom. The mom is almost all black, very small with just a little gold coloring around her muzzle. Is this a strain of yorkie that I don't know about, being dark, with no gold or silver on her body coat? Take a look and let me know. Her website is Bluewater Bay Yorkshire Terriers, and the movies are on You Tube under yorkiemom. I know we have a Yorkiemom in here, but dont think its the same person. I'm just trying to educate myself. Thanks in advance for you help. BTW, the clips are worth watching, just to see the cute puppies. |
Do you have a link to her site. I wasnt able to pull it up by googling the name |

Video results for 'yorkiemom' no videos |
I've tried different ways of finding this site but failed. Can you just post the site for us? |
http://www.pupcity.com/puppies-for-s....asp?adid=2465 Try this. I don't know if she has a web site but you can see her puppies here. |
Is the kennel in Niceville, Florida? Found a picture googling but couldn't get to a kennel website. |
Did you see the price on that one...$5000. Whoa! |
youtube.com its yorkymom & the video i saw w/a dog w/alot of black said beautiful male pup. They also change color as they get older & look different in pics & video, its best to go in person. I think micro & tea cup are being used to describe a yorkie under akc standard weight, the runt. There is usually one tiny per litter-the runt. I dont think that it is bad to purchase the runt & w/proper care I think they can be very healthy happy pets. I dont think they should do some of the things they do to try to keep the weight down on pups to get more money, not saying that breeder does but those who might. I kinda think of it like this, I had a 9lb baby & you had a 5lb, if neither of us smoked, we both took our vitamins & ate right, we both had healthy babies just different sizes but if you didnt nurish your body like you should have then your baby may have problems. If the breeder is feeding good food & vitamins, taking care of mom then all pups should be healthy, the little one may need extra care since it might get pushed off by sibblings & miss a needed meal. Am I making scense? I dont breed, but I am thinking about it after all the bad experience I've witnessed & all the scams I've seen-we need some good breeders. :animal-pa Good luck. |
look under the search engine. i believe someone just posted about her and to not get a dog from her. |
ok...not a good idea to do a search b/c we have a member who's name is yorkiemom and you will get all of her post |
Its yorkymom not yorkiemom There is a difference in the spellings:D |
http://youtube.com/results?search_query=yorkymom Ya, I've seen her before, here is the link. |
I was just curious Thanks for all your comments, I was just curious why the mom was so dark and not silver or blue. I'm not interested in a puppy from her, I stay away from any breeder that hawks minis' or teacups. I look for the breed standard. Thanks guys, you are a great group of people. |
I'm confused. They sell dogs on You Tube??? |
You know what is funny? I posted a comment on YouTube to one of yorkymom's comment and then she blocked me! lol... I just said how can she sell her puppies as tcups for $3000 (4lber)-$5000 (2lber) and she doesn't have the best quality. Then I listed show breeders with a lesser price range and better quality. Just to show that she is milking people for money.... I also listed puppy sites that sell cheaper... |

Yorkiemom's puppies Does anyone out there have a dog from Yorkiemom? I've seen the stuff on Youtube and look great. I'd like to actually hear from someone who has or had one of her dogs. I'm thinking about buying one of them. I know they are pretty pricey, but from what I've seen and what she says, they look well taken care of an healthy. Thanks for your feedback in advance!:):animal36 |

I personally don't advocate obtaining your new family member from the internet. |
The truth about Yorkymom I have read quit a few of these responses and I have to say to anyone wanting to buy a pup from a different state from a breeder you do not know Get to know them first. I took 9mths getting to know yorkymom and she is a real animal lover of all animals and she is a real as they come. I bought my Yorkie from her after 9mths she is friendly keeps in-touch and is always there to guide or help in anyway. I posted a pic of my baby girl Gabriella if you look at how thick her coat is and it is soft and silky she is 6x6 perfectly square shape and my vet said in all her years she is the most solid and healthy teacup Yorkie, she has ever seen and my vet said "teacup yorkie" because thats what everyone refers them as and that her coat is so thick and healthy that she gives my breeder a A+++++. I say to anyone who wants a little Yorkie you can trust that you will get a quality pup from her and she would not let me have her till she was just about 16wks because of her size and travel she is very caring and make sure that her baby's can handle the travel and that they go to someone responsible and caring as well. She even send personal videos of your baby and I watched her change and develop over skypes video calls. I do hope this helps anyone with doubts of her reputation as a caring breeder. Thanks |

Once again a really old post--in this case, 2 years old almost, is found and bumped up by a brand new member who jumps right in to offering their high praise for the breeder in question. If I had a dollar for everytime that's happened, I'd be rich! As with the other instances where this happens, this new member will not likely post again after he/she has had a say on this thread. And like with other instances, these types of posts/input are never really taken seriously by members here...thank goodness. Very suspect, don't you think? |
I have a yorkie from Yorkymom Quote:
