| Mine have just a bite or two of table food every day that I cook. Cheese is their favorite snack and if I give them chicken, they think they are in yorkie heaven!!!!!!!!! |

| I forgot to say that ham is VERY bad for yorkies. My husband gave Ceeby one-fourth slice of deli ham when he was nearly twelve weeks old almost killed him. it was touch and go for three days. I was giving him pedialyte every two hours. Plus pepto every four hours and Nutrical every three hours per the vets instructions. it was his first Thanksgiving and we had our vet on the phone almost the whole weekend. next bad spell he had was when hubby sneaked him a bite of pork chop. No more pork for my dogs or I will be divorced. |

| I've been feeding my dogs and all the fosters *real* food for over 48 years. Not a single one developed any problems. You have to know what not to feed dogs. No onions, grapes, gravys, spicy foods and more. Dr. Pitcairsn's book has lots of nice recipes. He's an holistic Vet. |

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43555 I give mine very little table food. It gives them diarrhea But they love fruits and veggies and I always toss them a small piece when I have some for myself.

| My babies get a little table food here and there. Chicken, apple, cottage cheese, veggies. I think a lot of it depends on the dog. Katie is fine with a lot of things and Max gets diarreah, even with the canned dog food. Their little tummies can be very sensitive, but I think the chicken is one thing that most all can eat and doesn't bother them. NO greasy foods! My toy poodle had a bout with pancreatitis after someone fed her bacon and it was terrible! She wanted everything that we ate and my Grandmother was bad about sneaking her stuff when she was here. I have heard that if you are going to feed them any people food to make sure and put it in their dish and not feed from your plate. That is what will cause them to beg. Katie and Max always watch me and you can see them get anxious when my plate is almost empty! It is too cute. I found a little doggie bakery store this week and bought them some treats. They absolutely love them! Reasonably priced too. They also love beggin strips! That is their favorite treat . It is important that they get a good balanced diet and eat some hard things for the health of their teeth. I think the table scraps are bad for their teeth more than their tummies. Gotta have that pretty doggie smile!
