| ![]() I took abby to a new vet yesterday that I was thinking to use, and as she had been vomiting the vet wouldn't talk to me because I wasn't one of their clients. I took abby in and she started really pressing on abby's stomach even though I told her that she could possibly be pregnant. Could this have hurt the puppies? ![]()

| ![]() He was probably palpating her, checking for babies. Or during a routine, examing for masses and such. When they palpate, they really do press the abdomen. With an experienced vet, no babies should be hurt. |

| ![]() Good. I was really concerned. She was only bred a couple of weeks ago and are not sure if she is really preg. yet. She has had the upset stomach, but is back on to her food today. Which is a good sign that she is preg. Thanks

| ![]() Sometimes expectant mommies have morning sickness from about 2 to 4 weeks...just as in human mommies. You did right by taking her to the vet for a more experienced approach to the matter. They also, at times, have a clear to slightly tinged discharge from about 5 or 6 weeks until delivery. If she's not pregnant, this could indicate some type of infection..especially if the discharge is discolored. Green is not a good color. The vet should be able to palpate puppies between 28 and 35 days in utero. |
