So far they're 10 minutes apart. How long do I let her go safely before calling a vet. Is it an hour after 1 min contractions?

Can I turn the lights on, or should I keep it dark?

Depends on how far you are from the vet. She'll be fine for an hour, then you need to call your vet for consult, if you live further away you want to start earlier to plan for the drive.

Lights are fine, however both of you feel comfortable. Unless they're way bright, she won't mind. Hope things go smoothly for you!

I see the water sac - this is after 2 hours of contractions (every 10 min).

Is this normal? How's she doing?

It's common to see the water sac for quite some time before the puppy comes, They're on their way everything sounds like it's going fine.

the plestenta is still inside...what do i do??

That's fine, just make sure the puppy is okay, breathing, fluids suctioned out of mouth nose and throat. She'll deliver the placenta shortly. Have you cut the cord yet?

Hershey just took over - she's a good momma!

Puppy #1 - male - born 6:10 - 6 oz
Puppy #2 - male - born 6:25 - 5.5 oz

I had her x-rayed - 2 more to go!

omg u must be so excited me too just reading it keep us postred hun.. i have some due on the 5th so i will want all ur experiences for help lol gl with mommma and the new babies...

WONDERFUL!!!!! It is such a blessing when everything comes naturally to the mother. Will definetly be checking back!!!
