regarding hip displacement etc

I know that this might be a stupid question but i saw where some dogs are certified free from hip problems and eye problems and that is goes on the akc registration how in the world can u get that done i wanted to know how do you get them certifed ???from a vet?? and then how do you get it added to the akc registration?? thanks for any info u might have

Well, I guess I learnsomething every day. I have never heard of it being on an AKC record beforee. I know the DNA is.

I would probably go straight to AKC and ask them. I'm anxious to hear the answer. Always learning something new.

I just emailed akc to ask i will let you all know what they say,, i seen it on some of the pedigree papers so i was wondering how it got there basically lol , but i will let you all know what i find out...

Forget about the hips..never had a Yorkie with hip problems..never knew one...but the knees are another story..can be a very common problem.

Yea, knees, liver shunts, treachea, teeth, hypoglycemia, how could we not love them though!
