| She is at the moment in between actual shops. She closed her last shop down to get a bigger and better shop in a better location. She has the puppies in her own home now, but the new place is close to opening with grooming and a merch store as well... She is located at 1986 tuckahoe rd petersburg NJ (not far from wildwood nj) |

| Cheryl, she wanted to thank you for pointing that out about the background info..the new site she has is brannie new, she still hasnt gotton too in depth with it, but she said its a great idea to put all that on there and she will update it shortly with it..usually and in the past, she just verbally told people who asked, but youre right it is important to have on there without asking. She is planning on putting a little bio soon. Problem was that they work with a server that allows them only a certain amount of text and pictures per page, they will be upgrading soon because of this, so she tries to fit as much as she can and is allowed on each page. She feels its a little too brief. So much expansion is going on with Top Knotch at the moment. The new place is opening up, the grooming section of the place is now ready to go, that will start up..she recieved all her merch to display in the store, now its a matter of just setting up and putting finishing touches on the store. Her motto is "do it right the first time even if it takes a couple weeks longer until opening" Plus they have the horsefarm they are setting up, AND behavior lessons have started already..(5 classes so far) so there is def alot going on, it will all come together and she will go over the details. But she said thanks for pointing it out and she will put it up very soon. Its good you see these things, most people dont care |

So far it sounds like your friend is a nice lady and only has satisfied people. She does look like she cares for the dogs alot and people are pretty happy. It's just that lots of people don't know much about puppymills and to ask the right questions. | |

| I'm not saying this in a malicious way, but rather because I'm actually curious - If she gets her dogs from Brazil or Louisiana, how are they shipped and is it safe for them? That is SO SO SO young to be having a baby who doesn't have all of their vaccinations shipped. On another note, I've looked at her site before and fell in love with her morkie Jenni.

| they are actually vaccinated prior to shipping, the litter is seen by a vet first who gives them the okay to fly out to her, if a pup has loose stool or a sneeze, ANYTHING, they wait until its gone or dont ship at all. She gets certain picks out of the litters. Only topknotch. I was playing with jenni the other day, shes really smart and super cuddly..she was one of the most obiedient..i took the whole litter out to play for a good 45 mins, to run around her huge fenced in yard..its my favorite part! When i call for them she would run right over..she went home that day in fact with a girl who LOVED her to death. Also another perk of working with susan! I personally like KoKo, who i was so tempted to bring home with me, but i have two puppies under 6 months (my yorkies) and a 6 month old daughter, 5 year old son, AND a 4 month old manx kitten..so i had to stop myself there. KoKo is one of the only pups of her mix breed that we have seen with ears UP. Its rare, and her FACE..omg the picture doesnt show half of how cute she really is, shes tiny and playful and kisses so much. Really, an ideal puppy. I also favor Lovey one of her tiny yorkies..fits in your hand but has so much personality. I brushed her out for an hour just to hold her. She is soooo cuddley..i wish i could take home all of them sometimes..but certain ones stand out, such as Padre (now joey) whom a woman thats on this forum actually owns now. I almost took him home before i saw charlie, there was something about charlie that was an instant love, he was sorta ugly next to the rest, scruffy but just walked right up to me and sat down and looked at me funny. While i was holding padre, i put padre down and charlie kinda bumped him out of the way and sat there, staring at me. I took charlie home that day, but i can definatly say there are a handful of pups that always stand out. |

| I have a few questions too if you don't mind... 1.) are they AKC registered? 2.) what age are the puppies when they are shipped to Susan since she says on her site that she won't let the tinier puppies go until they're a little bigger. 3.) usually are the puppies kept in her shop or her home? I'm always skeptical of brokers because I can't beleive a reputable breeder would sell to a broker but I have seen her site and some of the puppies are cute. Her prices are pretty high though.

| here are some of the things susan had to say OVER me from the posts.About the bad rep and puppy mill thing she said about other brokers she has heard of, she said most of them make her sick: THEY DO LIVE IN REMOTE AREAS AND THAT IS ONE REASON WHY THEY CAN'T SELL THEIR OWN PUPS BUT IT IS ALSO TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT IN CERTAIN AREAS PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD A PUP OR THEY EXPECT YOU TO GIVE IT AWAY. AND YES, MANY ARE PUPY MILLS. ACTUALLY, HUGE MACK TRUCKS COME DOWN THERE EVERY WEDNESDAY AND THE BREEDERS BRING ALL THE PUPS AND THEY TAKE THE ONES THEY WANT AND THEY CART THEM TO DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY VIA TRUCK AND THE POOR PUPS ARE IN THOSE TRUCKS FOR DAYS. IT IS AWFUL. A NICE FEW HOUR TRIP ON A PLANCE IS NOTHING. OF COURSE MY BRAZILIAN PUPS COME 10 HOURS BY PLANE PLUS A FEW HOURS EXTRA BUT WE TAKE GREAT CARE OF THEM AND THEY DO FINE. HAVE NEVER HAD A SICK PUP YET AND NEVER LOST ONE FROM THE FLIGHT. and IrishHawk Writes: I'm not saying this in a malicious way, but rather because I'm actually curious - If she gets her dogs from Brazil or Louisiana, how are they shipped and is it safe for them? That is SO SO SO young to be having a baby who doesn't have all of their vaccinations shipped. PUPS NEVER COME UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN VACCINATED FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS. YOU WILL NOTICE THAT MY PUPS ARE NOT YOUNG WHEN THEY LEAVE ME AND THAT IS WHY. ALSO, VACCINATIONS IS AN ONGOING PROCEDURE. A PUPPY RECEIVES A SHOT EVERY 3 WEEKS UNTIL ITIS 16 WEEKS OLD BECUSE THE MOM'S IMMUNITIES KICK IN AND "DESTROY" THE SHOT. SO IF A PUP RECEIVED SHOTS BEGINNING AT 6 WEEKS, IT GOES, 6,9,12, AND 16. IF A PUP NEVER RECEIVED ANY SHOTS, IT WOULD GET ONLY TWO SHOTS AS LONG AS IT WAS 16 WEEKS OLD. AND OF COURSE BORDATELLA VACCINES ALSO. AND A REBIES VACCINE AT 12 WEEKS OR OLDER. THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE VETS OKAY FIRST She also said: I DON'T ADMIT WHRE MY PUPS COME FROM?, (not the case) I AM PROUD OF IT. BRAZILIAN PUPS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND HEALTHY. JUST ASK OUR VETS.I SHOWED PICS OF ME IN BRAZIL ON THE OLD SITE BUT HAVE NOT GOTTEN TO GETTING ALL THE OLD INFO ON THE NEW SITE. |

| arent they though? Just breathtaking, alot of people said..and could probably vauge for me, its not just their looks, its their personalities too, they are all very well handled.. Susan has grandchildren who are constantly playing with each and everyone of them from day one, so they are used to being handled. They also have the "no nothing without a puppy" rule..if they are doing something like watching tv or sitting at the computer, there is always a pup in their hands..that goes for everyone. They go out to play often, and have a blast. I get on the grass with them and a flock of them just run over to me and kiss me and i play ball with them..so much fun. They are also exposed to lots of sounds, the dishwasher, the doorbell, the vacuum, the phone and tv..so its an easy transistion to your home. www.topknotchpups.com ALL THE WAY! I fell in love with Lovey..if only i could handle just ONE more lol |

| Please tell Susan that my name use to be Topnotch Yorkies, since 1979. I then decided after a break to get back into showing and raising yorkies and with I did a search found her site and another in Canada (I think) that was using exactly Topnotch. So I had to change my name. I am sooooo glad I did, because I love my new kennel name. I don't actually have a kennel, but use this as a way for others to identify my dogs/breeding. All my dogs are in my home and 3 even sleep with us. But my new kennel name is perfect and actually is a special name to remember my children by. So tell her thank you. If it wasn't for her - I would still be using the same name. I wasn't going to write, but thought this was too funny - my experience and now here is a post on YT. Small world! LOL JMO - some of the pups she brokers are cute. I do not belive in breeding mix breeds. And as an owner - I would perfer to buy my babies from the actually breeder. I live in a very remote area too and never have had a problem with people wanting my pups. I usually have a waiting list. I do not think shipping with one shot is enough and they are too young. But this system works for her! This is a decision that the breeders working with her have made and works for them. If they ship - don't they have to add on the cost to the price of the pup? Just a quick thought I had. Best of luck with your babies. T. |

| I'm confused, if you work for Susan than shouldn't you know if the yorkies are AKC? Are your dogs AKC registered? Prior to her changing spaces did the dogs live with her in her home or in her shop? Maybe it's just me but I resent how you keep pushing her website and puppies in almost every post. There is a breeder recommendation site where you could post her info. Also if Susan wants her info out there (free advertising) she should join Yorkie Talk and make a donation to the site.

| Susan answered your questions: Kaymo says: I have a few questions too if you don't mind... 1.) are they AKC registered? MY BRAZILIAN PUPS ARE CBKC REGISTERED AND AKC ACCEPTS IT AS A FOREIGN REGISTRATION AND THE PUPS CAN BE DOUBLE REGISTERED AKC. YOU CAN CHECK OUT CBKC ON THE AKC WEBSITE. HERE IS THE LINK. IF YOU GO TO AKC WEBISTE AND LOOK UP FOREIGH REGISTRIES - BRAZIL - THEY WILL LIST CBKC. THREE OF THE PUPS I HAVE ON MY SITE NOW ARE FROM MY OWN LINE - ONE OF MY SISTERS HAS THE FEMALE AND ONE HAS THE MALE AND THEY BREED THE COUPLE ONCE A YEAR. 2.)what age are the puppies when they are shipped to Susan since she says on her site that she won't let the tinier puppies go until they're a little bigger. IT VARIES. THE TINY ONE THAT IS ONLY 1. 4OZ WAS NOT SHIPPED ANYWEREH. SHE WAS BORN HERE. WHEN THEY ARE TINY LIKE THAT WE NEVER SHIP THEM UNTIL THEY REACH 1 1/2 BLS AT LEAST SO OFTEN TIMES THE ARE OLDER WHEN THEY ARE READY FOR NEW FAMILIES. 3.) usually are the puppies kept in her shop or her home? MY HOME. I'm always skeptical of brokers because I can't beleive a reputable breeder would sell to a broker but I have seen her site and some of the puppies are cute. Her prices are pretty high though. MANY REPUTABLE BREEDERS SIMPLY DO NOT LEIVE IN AN AREA IN WHICH THEY CAN SELL PUPS. IT IS ALL ABOUT SUPPLY AND DEMAND. NOT ENOUGH BREEDERS IN THE ARE IN WHICH I LIVE AND WORD OF MOUTH IS VERY BIG. MOST OF OUR PUPS ARE SOLD THROUGH REFERRALS. WE HVE SEVERAL VETS WHO REFER US OFTEN. |
