| Disgusting... I was looking at puppies for sale in the newspaper since my boyfriend is at work and I'm bored. And I came across this site .. I'm going to point out some points that make me angry .. 1.They deliver their puppies if you pay them! 2. Look at all the diffrent breeds they have 3."For protection and for insurance purposes, no one will be allowed to go back to our kennels to view parents of puppies." It should say Because our the unhealthy and disgusting conditions of our parents, no one is allowed to see our kennels!!!!!!" Has anyone heard of this place before? It's sad. http://www.loveablepets.biz/#puppies |

| hi....I am new here and just want to comment on this thread. First off, I don't even have a yorkie yet, but I love this site and am learning so much about the breed and getting myself prepared for when I get my own furbaby-hopefully in a few months. Although yes, this ad is disgusting...I really think it says something for sites like this. This site is SO informative about breeding practices and what is expected out of a GOOD breeder..that many people are now asking to see parents of the pups, where the puppies live and things like that. Honestly, before finding YT I could have easily bought a dog from a petstore or God forbid even a puppymill...but now because of YT I know better and have a list in my yorkiebook (i am a dork, LOL ) of things to be expected from a good breeder. so anyways...thank you all for the great information you bring us..or at least me ! |

I'm not justifying anything else here. I just want to know what is bothersome about this part. I want to make sure when I advertise my pups I do it right.

Well what is your definition of a puppy mill. Mine is Dogs kept in kennels in buildings away from the house. Having many breeds of dogs. Those dogs cannot be socilaized and they definitely are not family pets. so IMHO that = puppy mill. there are larger breeders that I do not consider to be puppy mills. If the dogs are kept inside their home and not in cages then I don't consider them to be puppy mills. I would call those commercial breeders. But if they are unwilling to show you thier facility, then you can bet it is not very nice. Those dogs lead terrible lives. Kept in tiny cage all of their lives, never knowing fresh air or sunshine, or companionship. Never allowed to run or play. The only time they can even touch another dog is when they are bred, then it is right back in the cage. It makes me soooooo sad

That part alone would not be so alarming. I agree, that it doesn't seem to send up any red flags. But the rest of it sure does.
