| Tie? i have searched and searched debbie jensen's site and cannot find the answer to this. So, I am asking you breeders. How long should a 'tie' last to be effective? i have read on here that it's possible to have puppies without a tie but is rare. I just bred Kandy and Ceeby. I had to hold her after the tie . She was trying really hard to get away and i was afraid she was going to hurt him.but the tie only lasted five-six minutes. Do I have babies or not? I plan to breed her again tomorrow evening about this time but I sure would like to have a longer tie just to be sure. Thanks. i guess you all are tired of all my questions but I always try to find the answer on debbie's site before i bother you. Again, thanks |

| I'm thinking any tying at all is great. I didn't time Titan, but His and Roxi's ties didn't seem to last 15 min and we are really pregnant right now.

| You do not need a tie to get puppies, but if you want to make sure, as soon as the male dog is finished, just lift the bitches rear in the air as done in a AI and hold her that way for about 15 minutes. The sperm will head in the right direction. No tie is needed. Debbie Ray www.sumtoiyorkies.com |
