| Dumb question about docking tails I've never bread dogs before, so I know nothing about this. I keep reading posts about docking tails. How do I know if my yorkie's tails have been docked? I have a 5 year old, and a 3 month old. They both have little cute, short tails. I take it this is something most breeders do or have done? All new to me, cause I've never bread them before. Call me "learning" here. This is a great forum, and is packed full of any information I've dreamed of looking up! You all are the best and have helped me a lot. Please excuse my ignorance on the subject, as its new to me. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Yorkies are born with a long tail. When they are 1-5 days old they are "docked" which means they cut them down to the short tail you say yours have. |
