| Coco won't eat Hi, Coco is 7 weeks preg. She has been fussy this whole time and I have been feeding her "People food" which I don't normally do. (but this is her first litter and she needs to eat good) She won't eat dry or can food anymore. She was eating rice and burger, now she won't eat that. I tried a few other things, no luck. Any suggestions? I know to wait on the calcium til she whelps. She needs to eat!!! Help |

| OK, people food is definately NOT a good idea. She should be eating a good puppy food right now. (I like Purina Proplan, Chick and Rice) if she will not eat that, try boiled chicken and rice or noodles...which should be about the extent of people food that she is allowed. |

| I just began using this and its great they eat it up, perhaps this will help... ANAEMIC NURSING MOTHERS AND WHEN DOGS WON'T EAT Pudding Recipe Mix large 4 cup size vanilla pudding ½ cup sugar 4 cups of milk 4 egg yolks Cook on low heat to pudding consistency and offer to new mother at body temperature. She can eat as much as she wants. Has never caused diarrhoea and brings in abundance of milk!!! OR from scratch... mix the following in a saucepan and cook to pudding consistency. 2/3 cup sugar 6 tablespoons cornstarch ½ teas salt 4 cups milk (or one can evap milk plus equal parts water to make quart) 4 egg yolks 3 teaspoons vanilla Feed with syringe, on spoon, or let eat from bowl.

| Coco's not eating Yeah, like I said I don't usually feed my dogs people food. I tried all the things you mentioned, she won't eat them. Thanx for the pudding recipe, I'll try that. She has to start eating. She is on Science Diet puppy food always, but she stop eating it. Thanks again. I'll keep trying. Lori |

| Libby is not eating either..... I am going to try these recipes too. Libby is not eating well either (Science Diet Puppy Food.) She is due to have her pups in the next 10 to 13 days. I am worried because she is so tired! I free feed and she used to pass by her bowl multiple times a day but I am not seeing that as much. However, she must be getting more than I think cuz she is still pooping pretty good and peeing an AMAZING amount! (On the kitchen floor!) All the potty training is now out the window. One question Kimberly.... I thought they cannot have cows milk. Is evaporated milk better?

| I don't ever use cow's milk too high in lactose and likely to cause digestive upset, either goat milk or evaporated milk. |
