| One Ear Flopping Hi to my fellow Yorkie breeding YTers! Need some input please. I sold a little girl to this lady and her ears were up when I sold her and have been up until about a week ago...her right one flopped over. I am pasting her email to me. Have any ideas? Thanks so much in advance. Her email to me: Hi Jill, I just wanted to let you know that Lilly is doing well and she is 1 lb 11oz as of Monday. She is good health! I did have a question for you. In the last week her right ear has flopped over. Up to then they both had been straight and perky. Any ideas why the bent ear or what, if anything, I should do about it? Thanks - Anne

| The ears go down sometimes when they are teething. Some people tape them to get them to stand again. I didnt do that with either one of mine and their ears came up on their own

| As was already mentioned, stress and teething are 2 culprits for ears dropping. I never tape ears. I'd just keep the hair trimmed off and feed some cottage cheese to the pup. If she does end up taping, make sure she tapes in the right direction. |

| Roxy's ears have been up and down. Some days they are both up - then the right will fall - or the left... Right now they both have fallen and have been that way for the last couple of weeks. She's 5 months old and I'm guessing that she is teething still as she has still lots of baby teeth. I also think the stress of adding another pup to the brood may have added to the fall. I won't tape her ears but will let nature take it's course. (One reason is - I'm afraid of taping them incorrectly and hurting her!) |

| Jill... When I had Parker, his did that, then after about 1 week it went back up. Vet said he was teething too. That probably what it is. I was so worried.. I was like oh no. I didnt want one ear up and one day. It all worked out great. |

| Too cute! Olivers ears are too cute!! My Missy has one up and one down. She is not the mom to the one that I posted about, but I think it fits her personality wonderful. She is so carefree and loving. Thanks to all for your input. I emailed your replies to the lady that purchased my baby. She said thank you to all of you--she will just wait and see how it goes. She wouldnt trade her for the world.
