| How do you deliver your puppies Hello All, I know it's a bit early but my puppies will be ready to go to their new homes in September. I wanted to know from other breeders, what do you include with the puppy when delivering? I remember that when I got Barthololomew, he came to me with a little plastic cow and a blanket. He still loves those! I wanted to make it special to the new owners. Besides that, what is the standard when delivering a dog? Crate, leash, food? Any ideas?

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I don't plan on delivering my pups, but having them pick up only. I've already bought little stuffed babies for them (which I have with them right now, so their home scent is on them) a bag of food, and a chewy. I live to far from an airport, plus I'm not sure on how I feel about airp[ort transportation for them. |

| When I got Bernie he came with a blanket, a toy, chew sticks, a baggie of food, a can of wet food, and a pee pad. Though, the blanket and toy were brand new, so he doesn't really associate them with his mommy. If you chose to give a blanket and a toy, I'd let them use it at your house first.

| I kind of go overboard, but my puppies leave me with: photo album of parents and babies from birth baby blanket Dex Teddy Bear (makes heartbeat sounds that I've been using since birth) Pacifier, small stuffed toy, whatever they have decided are their favorites Step in harness leash that just has a slide that adjusts from puppy to adult Nutristat or Nutridrops Pedialyte Bag of Nutro Natural Ultra puppy food Cans of Nutro Natural Ultra puppy food Shot records and future instructions for vaccines Worming records Weight records Instructions on feeding and discouraging any treats or table foods Instructions on hypoglycemia, symptoms, prevention, treatment A growth chart saying it's just a guesstimate Information about undescending testicles for boys Information about retained baby teeth Information on Yorkie Talk My contact information (with home and cell) with instructions to call at any hour with any concerns (especially any vomiting, diarrhea, or lethargy) I read above about heartworm medicine - that's a good idea, I'll have to start doing that. |

| So many great ideas!! Thank you all. None of you went really overboard, if you really think about it. It's such a special moment when someone adopts a dog!

| No collar or leash, but the typical such as toy, blanket (so it has my home smell on it - to make the ajustment better), no crate - but I tell the new owners to buy one - this way they get the one (color/design) they prefer an then of course all the other stuff: contract, health cert. microchip papers, pedigree, papers (limited with pets), etc... |
