| thanks for all the congrats on our new babies. they are doing great. will get some pic's up soon. they get tails and dew claws done this afternoon so might do a before and after shot of them. thanks again everyone.

| They are not even 3 days old, and you're getting tails & dews done already?!?! I thought you were suppose to wait until they were 4-6 days old? I'm not criticizing, I just want to know what's the correct time frame, so I do it right with Gracie. |

| I also have mostly heard 3 to 5. Five days on the smaller ones. Every vet seems to have his own preference, if you don't do them yourself. |

| I think she had them done because if she waited until Monday they would be 5 days old. So her Vet told her to bring them in yesterday. It's usually better to wait, I think, until they are at least 4 days old, but the puppies all weighed over 5 ozs., and nursing so good, so at this size they should be fine.

| thanks janet for answering the question. and you answered it correctly. my vet didnt want to wait till monday 5 days and they are all doing just fine. i usually do wait till 3 days but the timeing was just off. been pretty busy here the last couple of days. thanks again.
