| female yorkie 7 month old I have a female yorkie 7 and half months old and has not come in heat yet is this normal I heard they come in heat around 6 months old |

| It varies from dog to dog. Some don't even come in heat until they are 12 to 14 months old.

| You aren't planning on breeding her the first heat, are you? I believe you should wait for at least the second - if that is what you are planning. There is a breeding section on this forum where you can find many answers.

| Don't worry about it! My Dixie is 7mo, and hasn't started her 1st heat either. I'm going to wait until she's 2yrs to breed though ,as I want her OFA and CERF tested.
