female yorkie 7 month old I have a female yorkie 7 and half months old and has not come in heat yet is this normal I heard they come in heat around 6 months old |
It depends. It could be much later. Are you going to have her spayed? |
Proberly Not |
It varies from dog to dog. Some don't even come in heat until they are 12 to 14 months old. |
You aren't planning on breeding her the first heat, are you? I believe you should wait for at least the second - if that is what you are planning. There is a breeding section on this forum where you can find many answers. |
No Not Going To Breed Her On Her First Cycle I Am Thinking About Breeding Her Later Not For Sure Thanks For Respond I Have Been Reading Alot On Breeding |
Then you should probably read the breeder's section very closely. There is a lot of info there. Good luck! |
Mine had her first heat when she was 12 months old. Quote:

My Candy has just started her first heat 2 days ago at 9 1/2 months old. |
Don't worry about it! My Dixie is 7mo, and hasn't started her 1st heat either. I'm going to wait until she's 2yrs to breed though ,as I want her OFA and CERF tested. ;) |
