Thanks Pat......so I guess she could go into heat anytime now. When she does go into heat is it bad? How will she act? I don't know much about this my other dog was adopted and she had to be spayed right away. Crystal

heat It is more of a nuisance..they will swell and bleed..need panties for about 2 weeks. If a male is around, it is a royal pain in the neck to keep them apart..but with no male you just have to be careful if she is out of your sight and watch for a uterine infection after..that is more common as they go through a number of heats, but can come at any age for a unspayed girl...I would spay her now.. and remove any puppy teeth. Best wishes

Thanks for answering my questions. I don't have any male dogs, which is good. I am thinking about breeding her so I want to hold off on having her spayed. Crystal
