| male There is so much more to that question then you have asked..very hard to answer. Any breeding potential should be breed quality, vet checked for genetic disorders and have a pedigree that will produce quality pups. It is so important to know the line..read through YT and see the tons of problems pet owners have when the breeder is careless and breeds without knowledge of the breed. Best wishes |

| Ditto what Pat said. But, AKC will register pups from an eight month old stud. Even after you learn all there is about breeding, you need to wait until your male is at least one year old and preferably even older. Their little swimmers might not be mature. My gal, Silk, is probably going to come into heat within the next month or so. She is five years old. i want to breed her but I probably will hire a small stud for her. My little guy is eight months old but is such a baby. Wayyy too young to be a daddy. Plus, due to the fact that she has champion bloodlines, I don't want to take a chance on not having puppies because of an immature stud. |
