| I just sooooooo envy you for getting to go to something like that. I wish we had something in our area. We have several new convention centers, in the Omaha area, so maybe we'll get something soon. |

| You know what I love about the Biewer thread? One day if all the moons, suns and stars are just right we will all be sitting at home watching the top AKC dog show in the U.S. and out will walk a Biewer for the 1st time. It will be so exciting and thrilling to me because I got to be a part (small, tiny, flea size part) of this new breed through YT. Not many people are ever allowed to see (okay read) about the development of a new breed of dog and hear first hand how all of this has come about. You ladies have allowed all of us to see what it takes and how much work goes into the making of a new breed of dog, how incredible. It is like a backstage pass and I for one would be very disappointed if you all stopped posting here.

| Irene I am glad you posted this because I really hope that the controversy about the Biewers can be squashed and that everyone can agree to disagree. It is completely understandable that disagreements arise.....they arise out of the passion the breeders have over these beautiful dogs. I myself am a Biewer owner and aspiring breeder and know that I have a lot to learn. Because of that I read all of the information I can, research the different sides, and then form my opinion. Even after I have formed my opinion, I continue to read the posts from people with different views because it is never too late to learn new information that will completely change my way of thinking. I want to do what is best for my dogs and the breed and therefore will never hesitate to put aside my pride and correct my way of thinking and the methods I am following. I am also glad to see so many posts from those of you encouraging the posts about the Biewers. While most wish to see the Biewers established as a separate breed in the U.S., the "breed" was developed from Yorkshire Terriers and therefore I never even stopped to think that posts regarding them would not be welcomed on this site. I don't own a standard Yorkie (but hope to add one to my family one day) and found this site while researching Biewers. Of course I became addicted to YT immediately and fell in love with the "family" here. When the posts debating whether Biewer discussions should be allowed on this site started to pop up I became rather upset. Whew....it was nice to say that as I have been holding it in for quite some time. I apologize for getting a little long-winded on this one......

I will be proud to shake the hands of the winners on April 8th and 9th. I am glad that you furthered your research to find that Homer, Harmony and Kendra are just as much Biewer as the rest. That there is a proper methods to breeding the Biewers and it is all about fitting the standard. Breeding is still very tricky with this young breed and as I have stated before we can look to the German's experience to continue to do it correctly. Yes, everyone that has been interested about this breed as probably read every post that has been about them and will continue to read them. I personally think whether everyone agrees or not on what is or isn't we can all agree that they are a spectacular little dog. Years will determine where this breed comes into play with AKC, but in the meantime we can all work on building and developing some of the prettiest little Biewers here in the US. I think it is safe to say that both Irene and I are very very Passionate about the Biewer breed. I know this last sentence is going to make some of you chuckle as I am right now with typing it. If the posts about the Biewer breed has offended some of you I too send out my apologies. I have spent almost the last 3 years in researching this lovely breed. I wanted to know as much information about them. I started with where they came from, to the first off spring, health issues, the effects of the pie bald gene, proper breeding, ect.. I have emailed as many breeders I could find in Germany and I have found out that they too have the problem of getting together for this breed as well, I feel that some of this has spilled from that cup onto us here into the US. But we must find our own comfort level with our German mentors and go from there. I might add I am still learning about the breed.Sorry that I too have such a long post as I feel it is very important for everyone to know that I hold no grudges. Irene I have told you this in several PM's this is just not my way of doing things. I DO NOT have hard feelings towards you or anyone that I may not agree with 100% and that I feel everyone is entitled to his or her opinions. If the Biewer talk offends anyone maybe we can suggest to Admin to give us our own little spot like they did with the Nursery. So we can discuss our feelings there constructively. Just a thought.

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I think that having our section for Biewers would be a great idea and I hope Admin thinks so too. I can't make the Lexington specialty show (great work getting that arranged Sue), but I have offered IABC to assist them in finding a new location for Southern California. so maybe we can have a specalty show in the fall as well here in Southern California. I want to read the good, bad and the ugly about Biewers. |

| It will probably forever be debated whether a Biewer is actually a Yorkie or it's own breed, afterall, that's what has caused so many of the arguments on YT itself. I would think that if it offends those people that think the Biewer should not be listed as part of the yorkie site at all, that a Biewer section within the site would be a perfect way to solve this dispute, at least for this forum. Then the Biewer threads could be moved to this section and anyone wanting to read about them, could and those who can't control the urge to blow up when reading about them, can stay away.
