| does age matter? i have a 6 year old male yorkie that is as healthy as can be. i was thinking of breeding him...but is it too late? how old are they suppose to be? |

| age I think it only matters with a male is, he may start marking in the house. If he has been good for 6 yrs, why chance it? Some people want a litter pick to get another pup, but smart peopel pay a fee and own the litter. I would not pay for stud service with an unproven 6 yr old, but that is me. Other people are gamblers and will take a chance..of course you can have a sperm count done and be sure you are offering a potent male. if he is not AKC be sure to tell the bitch owner before and if he is, be sure to DNA, as AKC requires.
