| 5 NEW Puppies! First litter here! Born tonight. 5 from a 5.5 lb mom and 3.8 lb dad. Overall had 3 girls, 2 boys. Started at 8:05 pm and last one delivered at 11:00 pm. Pretty quick if you ask me. 2 came out feet first...otherwise pretty uneventful. Mom's doing well. Puppies seem to be doing well so far. Girl - 8:05 - 2.9 oz Boy - 8:15 - 4.9 oz Boy - 8:50 - 4.0 oz Girl - 10:40 - 2.5 oz Girl - 11:00 - 3.2 oz Anybody got any tips I might not have thought of for quints? I have done a TON of research, just asking for things that I might not have thought of for this amount of pups. I never imagined my girl would have this many her first time around! Don't know why it never hit me that it could happen, just never thought it would. *shrug* Anyway, fingers crossed for good outcomes for all.

| Congrats! I'm so Glad everyone is fine. I don't know how big your mama is but with larger litters you must make sure mama is getting enough calcium. Also keep an eye on the runts if there are any. I like to supplement them if needed. Good Job.

| Congrats! I had a litter of 5 girls last year. My best advice is get some rest before the are up and walking around. You'll be changing pee pads around the clock..lolol. Here is my litter of 5, first pics is newborns, 2nd they are piled up for a nap..lolol. Make sure to post pics! |
