Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Biewer lineage I would be interested in in hearing the opinions of all the breeders on this. I have been looking into the parentage of some of puppies. The two specific Biewer lines that I would like some information about is the UZ vonder Elsteraue & Gahna von der Hemsbach lines. What health concerns do you know about these lines? Does anyone here have any puppies/dogs from these lines? |

| I do and all of my biewers are in excellent health. Ghana came Von der Hemsbach but was owned by a different breeder. She was mated to the male, you have mentioned, and both produced a liver shunt puppy. I know the breeder personally and she had all of her dogs tested for LS, all bile acid tests checked out fine. | I also have a Hemsbach baby and he's in great health. I know that there are quite a few people on YT, and also a few friends, who have this line in their Biewers and so far there hasn't been any problems. The breeder is one lovely lady who'll stand behind her dogs. Coincidently, there's another thread on this forum that is asking roughly the same general question and as you can see by the answers you just have to know the breeders and what is behind your dogs...

| I received a nasty email from someone who is not happy with me because what I say loud and clear about Biewers not being bred to just any Yorkies..again per the IBC. This person went a little too far to tell me that: 'there is something wrong with my dogs' and referencing the Hemsbach line. I would be happy to share the email with anyone that's interested in reading it. I want to expose this nasty human being. The email was totally uncalled for and rude. There are many, including myself that have some Von der Hemsbach lines that are not happy with this derogatory comment made about a wonderful breeder and her dogs. Kind of interesting how this the thread suddenly came up. |

| Irene, I would like to see that PM, oops e-mail message, about this since I too have a von Hemsbach male. Is this just nasty-mail or are there quotes or something? What do you think the purpose of the message and sender was?? |
