| AKC Papers-Confusion Have any of you noticed on new litter papers in the limited registration box that some are coming back with small lines through the box? I had 2 litters in December. I noticed that on one of the pups papers in that box you're supposed to completely darken to make registration limited- it has small lines going through it. I still says to completely darken if dog is not to be used for breeding. On another dog's paper, the box was left white. i called AKC to make sure that the one that had the lines through it was still able to be fully registered and the girl I spoke to told me yes. I asked her 3 times to be sure, "so you are telling me that regardless of the fact that the lines are shading the box in, I have to manually color the box in for her to be limited registration" she told me that is correct. She said that form changed about 8 months ago and that the computer just generates them that way and that some come white with 3 digits and some are coming out with the lines. That makes things really confusing!!!

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Yeah, I noticed that too. But yes, you have to fully color in the box. BTW...saw the larger girl of yours...she's a cutie!

| My last litter the registration was that way too, it was dark already, I was also confused, because I didn't remember telling AKC I wanted limited registration! I couldn't understand why it was that way!

| My Breeder told me that AKC have been changing a few things and now they send you a book to fill out and you also have to hang a paper up when you have a female that has puppies with parents name and the date they had puppies and all. She said if they come out and that paper is not hung up you will be in trouble. |

I just put an index card with mom's, dad's info as well as pups and attach it to the outside of my playpens. I'm guilty of not always having this. God forbid they throw me out if they were to pop up on me and I didn't have that card up. I do think that's a little extreme, lol and I believe they will just give you a warning the first time. They are looking for your records to be 100% current and truthful, for your dogs to be identified, and are looking heavily at the conditions of your dogs and their living quarters. You should also have all of your AKC dogs indentified. Micro chip, tatoo, or a tag. | |

| Oops, my edit time ran out and I just thought of this, When I say identified, I mean with their AKC number. |
