| wow I didnt know you got a puppy pack w/ your new baby. I got my little girl and a list of what I needed Thats very thoughtful of you to give a puppy pack. I think it does help the babies if they had some of their familiar things with them. |

| That's the difference of breeders who care about their puppies and those that just want to make money. It costs to make sure the puppy is going to make the transition into the new home easily, but it makes for a better pet and friend. I also send mine out with a package. I get a crate for every pup and they start sleeping in it with a soft blanket when they get away from mom, and that goes with them so that there are familiar smells on the blanket and the sleeping place is familiar to them. A toy they like goes with them, some booda bones, some food that they have been eating, a paper with suggestions on foods and treats, the record of the shots, the results of the legs being checked, and the vet that checked the pup, a copy of the bile acid test results, and registration form of the micro chip to switch to the new owners name. My card and instructions to call me if the dog gets sick, after they contact the vet if it seems serious. Nutristat, and any other special treats that they like. This is another reason that the puppies cost more than those that you find from most breeders that sell over the internet. |

| This is very nice!!! I was even thinking about sending a blanket or a towel to the breeder whom I am planning to buy a pup from.... So they wouldn't be as nervous as they could about going to a new home. This is really helpful. I am sure that not every yorkie breeder will do that though.... It really shows how much breeders care about their pups!! This is very nice thread that is making me smile

| I really love this thread! These will be my first puppy packs and I am glad to know I was planning a lot of these things already and now have some additional ideas!! I am glad to see that a lot of breeders are including growth and development pictures and info about each specific pup - I would have loved pics of my babies from birth! I really want also to stay in touch with the new families and hear about each puppy from time to time. I also found a thread on here about yt cards and am going to print some off and encourage them to come on in and check this site out! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would have loved baby pictures and test results of a bile acid test(which wasn't done). I will never buy another dog that hasn't had.

| I love to make new doggy beds. They are made from a polartec type fabric, completely washable. I make it and throw it down so that all of my dogs leave their scent on it. The baby goes to the new home with familiar fragrances. Then when he is completely settled in his new home, his bed gets washed and voila! the old home is forgotten. They get food, toys and LOTS of instructions...also a little terd and a peed on pad to help show him where he is supposed to "go".. |

| Wow, ya'll sure are generous!! Tatum's breeder gave us the contract, vet records and a tube of Nutrical. I'm really grateful for the Nutrical as we did not know the importance of that stuff beforehand but man, after reading all that ya'll give the new puppy owners, I'm impressed as heck! We really didn't have any transition problems with Tatum but I really like the idea of sending a blankie home with them that has the mom's sent on it. Way to go, breeders!
