| 37th to 39th day Whoa! Chloe is on her 39th day from 1st mating which I really am not sure that it was a good day so maybe 37th day from 2nd mating. I wasn't even sure if she was preggers or not up until last week, but just over this weekend her belly has grown sooo much! I'm a bit scared for my little girl as she has always been our princess and I hope she is not uncomfortable. She is being very affectionate but also shaky. Going to go get a thermometer - is there any paritucalr kind anyone suggests? How about those electric/digital ones? anything else I need to do at this time? eek! i'm so nervous and excited! |

| I use the old glass ones. But there is no need to take a temp. right now. Do you have a book on whelping? That might help. Also don't be so nervous they can pick up on that. Good Luck. Let us know if you need any other help.

| Wow...congratulations grandma.... Is this your first litter? Do you have a mentor....an experienced breeder to be there during the whelping to help you? I am sure you are excited and I am not a breeder but there is a ton of info here if you search the threads. I know you want to be as prepared as possible so I would say read read read and then read some more and aks your mentor lots of questions. If you don't have a mentor, I would try to find a local reputable yorkie breeder who would be willing to help you out. there is a lot to know and I think you will be relieved if you have someone to help you through this. |

| I bought a case that contained the digital thermometer, syringe, nail clippers, iodine and a dropper from the baby department at Walmart. They all seem to come in handy with the pups. I use the digital thermometer during the last week of pregnancy on my yorkie moms... sometimes it gives you a clue when they will deliver... sometimes not. Good luck with Chloe!
