| Tiny Puppies My Jolie had 4 puppies on 1/9/06 making them three weeks and two days today. I have never had such a tiny litter (size, I mean). The largest is just 1 lb today, the next is 10.4 ounces, the next 9.5 ounces and the tiniest is 6.6 ounces today. Has anyone ever had or have experience with these teeny tinies? They are stressing me totally.....

| Believe it or not I have much tinier ones time to time. Bugaboo wae just a pound when he was 9wks. I surely dont breed for them but some times they show up. They are a tremendous amount of work and stressful ( to me), worry, worry. It drives me crazy too. But what can you do? You just have to do the best you can for them. Most important is to make sure they eat. Their little tummys can only hold so much. They must be monitored for hypoglycemia. I keep my smaller ones until they are at least 16 wks to rule out any health problems. I also place them in homes without small children, large pets, ect... They are very delicate. Well good luck! |

| That really doesn't sound that tiny to me. I would just make sure to watch the 6.6 oz one to make sure it is eating and gaining weight at the same rate as the others. |

| Congratulations on your pups!!! Hope the proud mama is doing well. I am by no means an expert on the breeding of these critters, but Chewy was 1.5 lbs when I got him and he was 3 months old so they probably have a lot of growing to do yet. Good luck and can you post some pics? |

| I worried this time too because I had some lil stinkers. I have two girls that weigh a pound at 9 weeks and they are scarey when your used to bigger puppies. But they have been great, just little miniatures zooming around and they havent had the first problem. Just like the bigger puppies but as quick as mice.....the most difficult part has been dodging them when I let them run in the kitchen. Beleive it or not if the big pups and lil pups run together for interaction the lil pups win the wrestling matches!.............they are mighty and furious with play. They think they are much bigger then they are........ ..........could get them in trouble later!! Good luck with our little ones, arent they precious! |

| My two litters of five total will be three weeks old tomorrow. Today they weigh 10 5/8 oz, 13 1/8 oz, 1 lb 3/4 oz, 15 3/8 oz, and 1 lb 2 oz. My littlest one is also the one who had worried me the most but she has been the one to do all the firsts now!! She was the first to open her eyes all the way and is the first to try to walk some now and she has even started to try to play a little - she looks at the other two in her litter and tries to bite one of her sisters!! It is the cutest thing! I can't believe they are growing sooooo fast!! It seems like only yesterday they were born!! How big (size) are your litters usually if this one is so much smaller? |

| Did we all have litters at the same time??? I have two litters (4 total)... one litter will be 3 weeks tomorrow and the other 3 weeks on Monday).... they weighed in at 1 lb., 11 oz, 1lb, and 13 oz. The males are the 1 pounders, the females are the 11 and 13 oz. I think these are big!! I assumed because the litters are smaller... (my girls usually average 4 pups per litter)... they are getting more milk. My girls usually have much smaller pups. Your 6.6 ounce will be a tinier yorkie.... as long as they are all gaining weight there should not be any problems.... The tinier ones are always SOOOOOOOO CUTE!! Best of luck to you and everyone else that has had recent pups.
