I have a question..My boy, Cruiser, is from Hemsbach lineage. Does that make him a TRUE BIEWER? If yes, how can I tell? If no, then splain to me what I am supposed to call him I have others that list Hemsbach back further in their lineage-maybe 4 gens. What are these Biewers supposed to be called?? Are we saying that the correct name for these "Germany spotted Biewties" is True Biewers and/or False Biewers? This might sound silly, but after reading these posts I am wondering if we have "horned in" on the correctness of naming these dogs..The original name, no matter which version we adhere to, does not have TRUE anywhere in the name..Is this correct?? |
ps Accurate, not accquire..sorry. |
" Having had this expericne I am positive that Beiwers came down from at least these two breeds. " So, one experience gives enough info to make such an encompassing trueism, huh? HMMMMMMMMM! Several years ago, a VERY well-known showman and breeder, advised those show persons who had these off-color Yorkies show up in their lines, to stick them in the freezer and euthanize them. Those who have been around toe Yorkie world for 20-25 years will know the name of that breeder. Now, makes me wonder why he would have said that if there NEVER was a tri, blue, choc or other off-color puppy in a show line litter... I am going out on a limb with this post and I know there are pros who will say tain't so, but it is! |

for a fact and is just stating how she felt. |
Welcome, BluMoon. I have seen the ads for BluMoon Yorkies for a long time so I know she is experienced and has lovely dogs. But, her feelings are hers and mine are mine and all of us love this forum because we can express our feelings/opinions whether they agree or disagree. Thanx for pointing out she is a new member and I apologize for not posting a welcome before this.. |

I totally agree with you,Rini, Cher and Jakeepaper and will be appreciative of your efforts to help have the Biewers recognized as a breed of their own. I have owned Yorkies for over 30 years, I do not breed or show but Yorkies are the love of my life.I have 6 here now. I certainly do not think the Biewers can be judged by our AKC Yorkshire terrier standards. They are indeed precious little wonderful dogs and do deserve to be recognized in a place of their own. |

Biewers Perhaps, I am mistaken, but I have not heard of any serious Biewer breeders wanting them shown with standard colors..makes no sense. A number of breeds have more then one classification to be shown separate. Isn't this want Biewer beeders want?..or do they want them to be recognized as a separate breed all together? |
