So true Sue that is why Liver shunt is so prominent in the breed. I to would rather breed for a healthier dog...... time will tell I told my kids they were not true Biewers they are fuming and refused to watch lassie. I bet your mentor was very offended ...hmmm wonder how she wins so many shows ????? Gosh and the waiting list she has for any puppies she ever has to offer ...dang kinda weird aye

I'm new here......so Hiya to all! I've been happy to see some information on the Biewers as I have 2 myself along with some wonderful yorkie babies......... I am so interested in all the information you've been posting since I am and have been very confused with all the breeding issues-german registrys- and all the controversy with the start of 'clubs' here in the U.S. I have many questions & seems VERY difficult to get accurate, trustworthy information ........I really appreciated the info straight from the german breeder & would love to see more of that information/ advice/direction from more german breeders......thank you snowyorkies for sharing that information!

You are very welcome, I do come here to share as much research I have found to help educate from what I have learned. As I continue to learn. I have much much more to learn. My mentor guides me and educates me along the way on this breed. It is a shame that some of us sit on opposite sides of the table.. But I find the that researching is better from the experienced breeders not what is written on a page of a club and hope that I interpeted it correctly... Opinions and only opinions have been posted here. Not from breeding experiences of this breed. I think we should lead by the German's examples for the Breed otherwise we American breeders are going to have a mess on our hands here. They have been doing this now for years.... I have had only one litter... I am no expert here nor is anyone else.

thank you for the welcome! and yes, I think all the information posted is very helpful and I think that those of you with mentors from germany are truly lucky.....I look forward to learning & hearing about what you've all learned. I realize the passion involved and the differences in opinion....but my bottom line is learning the most I can about the breed and learning how to produce the healthiest puppies & I think the input from established/experienced German breeders has got to be the most important factor! I think all of your Biewers on your posts are beautiful and the Yorkies....I would love to have them all!...lol! I hope to post pics when I figure out how! ps.sorry for the delayed post.....I'm at work & jumpin back and forth!

His name is Magnolia's Snow Prince Arlo "Chance of a Lifetime" He will be 14 weeks today!!! Look at the time will you...it is already tomorrow...lol. I will be keeping him. He was very sick at about 5 weeks I think it was he had pneumonia and I was told he wouldn't survive... He bet the odds, the little fighter... Hoping he will get big enough to show he is only a 1 pound 2 ounces.. But it was this week he gained the 2 ounces so hopefully he is on a growing spurt.
