Sue, thanks for sharing the pictures. How old is the dog in the first picture? His coat seems longer than others I have seen pictures of. I have noticed that the Biewer has a tail. I know docking is banned in Germany, so would expect that. My question, were the tails previous docked on the Biewers before banning, or have they always had a natural tail?

Hey, the tail is part of their standard... They must display white on their tails. No set amount just white.. I think it adds to their beauty. Harmony is almost 11 months. The puppy is 13 weeks.

I have also bred for over 30 yrs. I have never had a pie bald puppy..BUT I know breeders who have had pie bald pups. I have looked at the pedigree's and if accurate, the pup was from purebred Yorkie's of standard coloring. So just because you have not seen it, does not mean it has not or will not happen.

I had one born blue from my Tiffany stud. He is healthy and the coat looks better then some I have seen. He was sold for $150 to cover my expenses. The breeding was not repeated.

I had one choclate pup from a line bred Trivar breeding. She was the results of a stud service..the breeding was not repeated.

Really?

I thought the "standard" was for them to be docked.

I thought those were the pictures I'd seen before (except Whispersmom) No matter...they are cute either way.

I had just gone to the vets today with Lilli and Archie and some of the girls there had never seen a Biewer, and they just thought that the tail was the neatest thing. It's funny because when they are little there isn't much hair on them but as they develope it turns into something just beautiful. Hence, my registered name of "Gipsy Tails"

It is..I love the tail too..it's funny when they wag it from the base like a cat when they are playing..Let's not start a rumor that they were bred to cats..ok?..(catching on to sarcastic humor

Boy, I don't know what this thread was really about, however I would like to say we have some of the BEST Biewer breeders here at YT...Shoot the Breeders that I have talked with here are GREAT!!!! I wouldn't think twice about purchasing (of all yorkies) anyone of their "KIDS"

I have a great number of respect for the ones who discuss their breeding programs(of all yorkies), and offer their KNOWLEDGE! Which since most of them sold a great deal of pups before they came here, I think they are doing more than they have to here! Just my honest humble Opinion!!!
