In connection with an event (likely an AKC conformation event - "dog show") - probably the person was awarded a ribbon and felt as though they deserved a higher placement so didn't want to even take the ribbon the dog was awarded. I have never seen anyone do it, but I have seen people who were obviously disappointed as to how the judge placed their dog (second place when they think they should have gotten first in class, etc).

That is just plain stupid. It's better to walk away with nothing? I understand ego gets in everyone's way at some point but why would someone want to offend a judge they may run into again, and exhibit such behavior publicly? Apparently it does happen because I saw if a few times on that list for reasons of suspension. IMO - I dont really think that should suspend you from AKC but it should disqualify you from showing for a good while.

I had started re-compiling the list, then spoke with the AKC about it - apparently the AKC is the only organization that can keep the list and not be liable in lawsuits. Another person keeping the list is opening themselves up to a lot of problems. So, I had to erase my pages. But, you can go to the secretary pages of the AKC website and look at their publications. Or, do a google search for the person's last name and "AKC Gazette".

thank you so much for all your work! i am glad that you found out about the laws regarding the list before someone tried to get you in trouble or anything lame like that! i certainly don't agree with the law and think that the info. should be more readily available to people! but it is the law. oh well...

I'm really disappointed in the AKC for dropping the ball on this one. That list should be readily available.

Still cannot find a list on the AKC website either...maybe I am searching wrong...
I was looking for courtashyorkies.. to check before even inquiring on a puppy but cannot seem to find any type of list...grrr frustrating

I agree that this should be available to all of us! Can't wait until the new list becomes available!
