Yorkie Talker | Never ending heat!! I have a yorkie who was NOT bred, and she has been bleeding for a month!! Her usual heats are a week of bleeding, than a week of no blood, then a week of minimal blood. I think it was because she was not bred, but I don't understand why? Has anyone else had this problem?? |

| One of my Yorkies' first heat lasted over a month. Someone suggested to me it was a "split heat" - apparently common for the first heat. Took her to the vet they said the same thing - that they see it frequently, sure enough she eventually went out...and didn't come back in for 6 months, which was a regular heat. But I agree - at least a call into the vet is warranted.
