UUHH! V, you got a new baby...?I am so sorry for posting this in the middle of the thread..but was so excited for you as I read this for the first time...what I get for not stopping in on YT for so long... Congratulations and I am saddened too at the same time on the findings of these jerks that are allowed to own, breed and create a business using these poor babies!!!! Along with many others. Why can't the AKC write some stricter guidelines and the usda..ugh, ...Thats why we have to continue to expose these creeps..Thank-you for your hard work and not closing your eyes on what you saw...Wow

Um, you do realize this thread was started in 2004.

I'm not sure if I missed anything, but I don't see where you are getting that V got a new furbutt...at least not recently...

I see the yorkiecity website has changed to yorkiecity1.com. I am sure if they google their name, they will see all of the yorkietalk postings
What I thought was funny was that in the description of the puppy she has, belongs to my friend.......
A clear sign of a broker. Yorkies are the #2 breed in the US and with that you will find a lot of opportunists that see a way to make a quick buck. As a buyer, everyone should be aware of that and check these people out carefully.
I live in TX and I could not believe that people keep their dogs in the un-air conditioned garage. We are too hot and humid for that. Since the hurricane this summer, we have a lot of fences down and I can see the disgusting conditions some people keep their dogs in. There are two around the corner from me that are chained in the backyard 24/7. No trees for shade etc. I would like to chain the owners up in the backyard and let them feel what their dogs feel!!

Manor, TX I bought a sick yorkie from her the picture on her site is different of what she got on her back yard the dogs are on ware and it is dog poop every where inside the only dogs that make inside her house is the new puppys for picture and the day their get pick up. Also Her house is not clean she is a puppy mill the differency is her Yorkies are AKC.

Thanks for the info. I'm north of Dallas and am talking to vets, trying to find a good breeder. Any one on YT have any recommendations on breeders in the Dallas or DFW area?

I bought a yorkie from Betty 11 years ago, used stud service and just bought a beautiful male puppy. She doesn't keep her dogs outside, they have access to go out (doggie door) from aircontioned Kennels, to a nice large yard, there not all shaved down either.
Betty's not a wealthy woman, I think your judging her because she lives in a trailer.
She even keeps her retired dogs, so she knows they are well taken care of.
Her place isn't nasty, she is a country girl. She doesn't sell sick dogs, she won't let just anyone buy a tiny Yorkie, because she's afraid for it's little life.
And by the way, she live there, do you want people walking through you house.

Eleven years ago??? Think about what you are saying....you have not seen the place in that long and expect people to accept that as a reference?

I don't know the breeder.....

All I can say to your last line is WHY would there be a parade going through anyway??? It is not that easy to find good homes for yorkies in the state of Texas...trust me I know that much. And...furthermore, no yorkie would go to a home where I did not trust the people. People adopting pups from me come to my home. Period.

I talked to her every few days on her request because my puppy was a teacup size.

I'm saying I've know her for 11 years, I refer people to her, one thing I know is she loves her dogs.

Think about it? I read your post and it clearly states that you bought a pup from her 11 years ago.

Teacup? What is that? Did she advise you that there really is no such thing as a teacup yorkie?

Plus, my message clearly states that I bought one 11 years ago, used her stud service and just bought a puppy, yes also states teacup (size) Not to hard to figure out!

In the dog world this term means it's a very small dog, can fit in a teacup.
