| Morkie/Biewer cross Hi everyone, I was looking to adopt a morkie, but the breeder that I have been in contact with informed me after the birth of the puppy that her morkie mom must have been impregnated by her biewer pup as the puppy that was born looks just like a biewer. Its a singleton litter. I've been researching on biewers and would be more then happy to adopt one, but I'm wondering if it is possible for a morkie mom (that does not appear to have biewer in her) and a biewer dad could have a biewer puppy. I would assume that there would have to be some maltese in there. The colouring is exactly of what you would expect of a biewer. I'm just confused. Does anyone have any insights as to how this is possible? Could the morkie mom have some parti genes in her which would explain the colouring of the pup? Thanks for your help! |

| When you crossbreed a maltese with a yorkie you realy do not know how the puppies as adults will look like. I am sure you must have googled Morkies and saw there are a wide variety of different looks and coats. Same with a morkie momma and biewer mix. It is not surprising to have a multi color pup. Also Biewer is pure biewer opposed to the morkie already a mix, so multi color pup is again, not surprising. A pure biewer is a gorgeous dog. Morkies are NOT a breed, a morkie is a maltese mated with a yorkie, once called a mutt, now called a "designer" dog. So keep in mind the momma is already a cross breed. That will be one beautiful puppy, good luck.

| Thanks Matese! I'm sure the pup will be gorgeous! What I'm confused about is why the breeder is calling it a biewer and also charging a biewer price (a bit less since mom is a maltese/yorkie). She said her biewers (biewer to biewer bred) range from 3000-4000$ and she is selling this one for 2500$. Her maltese/yorkey mixes are generally around 1000-1500$. I'm thinking for 2500$ I can probably find a pure biewer from a reputable breeder? |

| Thank Matese. I'm sure the pup will be beautiful! What I'm confused about is why the breeder is calling it a biewer if its from a maltses/yorkie mom and biewer dad. She's also charging me similar to her biewer to biewer pups. She said that her biewers go from 3000$ to 4000$, however she will sell this one for 2500$ since its a biewer but the mom is a maltese/yorkie mix. I've been reading a bit of background on biewers and some believe that there might be a bit a maltese in the biewer line that originated from Germany, and if thats the case maybe it is still a pure biewer? Is that possible? Im thinking for 2500$ I can most likely find a biewer to biewer puppy from a different breeder. Or is 2500$ a good price for this one? |

| Thanks! Yeah I'm sure he'd be super cute but the main issue I have is her calling it a biewer and charging me 2500$ for it. She says she normally asks 3000-4000$ for biewers so she's asking for less since the mom is a morkie/Maltese. She was not trying to mix the mom with the biewer dad. Is 2500$ too much for this pup? I've seen pictures and the markings are amazing, just like a biewer should be. I'm also going to visit in a couple a weeks to meet the mom and dad and see the environment before I decide. I'm just stuck on the price. |

| I see Morkies being sold for $2500 which I think is outrageous, but ppl are paying the price. A friend bought a Biewer for $5000. which I believe the going price for this NEW breed IS $4 to $5000. There are not many Biewer breeders so cost is going to be high. This breeder you speak of, if the momma is a mix, a Morkie, and the daddy is pure Biewer, she cannot call this puppy a BIEWER, it's a mix. A LOT of Morkie puppies are multi color. From what I have read on Biewers, a TRUE pure Biewer has to have certain colors in the right places on the body. I "believe" black has to be accross the shoulders, brown hair on the face area, we do have a Biewer breeder member, sure would be nice if she chimed in with color placement. But what you will be buying is a mix, NOT a biewer. As I have stated, Morkies I see being sold at $2500. so this "breeder" is selling what "she" calls a Biewer at the Morkies price. She is trying to tell you she is selling you a Biewer for the price of a Morkie, because the momma is a Morkie lol. You are buying a mix. I googled Morkie Biewer mix, they have pics, the pups are gorgeous, but they have no "designer" name for them lol. But, let me make this very clear to you, this puppy is NOT a biewer, it is a mix, it is up to you to decide if you want to spend $2500. on a mix, you can get a pure breed Maltese, or a pure bred yorkie fo $2500.

| This does not sound like a good breeder please don't support her by buying from her.

| There is the Biewer, then the Biewer Terrier, I believe it was the Biewer that had to have certain color marking placed at certain places on the body. I do know it had to be black across the shoulders, black, brown and white in certain places on the face, I don't recall what colors had to be where on the face. That is what I read.

| It was the Biewer Terrier and it's for if you are showing the dog. I don't know it the link will work but this is what it has for color placement. Color https://www.ukcdogs.com/biewer-terrier All colors are strong, clear and rich. The Biewer Terrier is black or blue and white, with tan/gold trim on the head, and around the anal opening, only. The amount of black/blue and white present on each dog is up to personal preference, with none preferred over another. The head coloring is (Blue/Black, White, Gold/Tan); (Blue/Black, Gold/Tan); (Gold/Tan, White) in good symmetry. There must be black or blue on the topline, the amount of which is immaterial. It may vary anywhere from a full saddle to individual spots, as long as there is some black or blue. The white from the chest should come up the neck to cover the chin. Stomach, legs and tip of the tail is white. Disqualification: Albinism. Eliminating Faults: Patches of brown, gold or tan hair anywhere on the body or legs. Any solid color hair, other than white, coming down the leg to the feet. - See more at: https://www.ukcdogs.com/biewer-terrier#sthash.68mb9BYx.dpuf

| Biewers are a beautiful breed. I never heard of them until I joined YT, I started researching them because I wanted one. I had just adopted Cody before finding YT. After having him a year I saw he was not dog friendly, so no way will I ever own a Biewer. I would love if the public could become more aware of them and they would grow in popularity.
