Can anyone give me info on shipping Puppies? Nanny? Cost? What to expect. is it really good to ship a puppy on a long flight across the country?

I don't believe in shipping ANY puppy on a long flight unless they are IN CABIN with a courier. Courier prices usually run $200-300 for a pup.

I don't believe it is ever a good idea to ship a yorkie puppy. As the others mentioned, in cabin with a courier would be the only way I would even consider. I, personally, wouldn't even do that since you cannot see the parents or how the puppies were kept unless you fly down yourself and stay a night. If you are talking a long flight even in cabin could be very stressful on a puppy with layovers and not following the puppy's normal schedule.

My nanny charges $300 The puppy's ticket is usually $175-200 Then the cost for a health certificate, crate, blanket, toys, treats, ect. Is usually another $200 I've never had a problem flying my tiny puppies with a nanny they never get stressed and usually have a lot fun. If a puppy gets stressed that could just be the breeder didn't do a good enough job socializing and getting the puppies out and exposing them to new things.

I disagree with your reason about why a pup would be stressed because that's just not true. Some puppies can be more sensitive to things then other puppies or they could be stressed out by the million things that happen when flying it doesn't mean the breeder didn't do a good job. There is also a fear stage around 16 weeks so it the puppy wasn't being flown until then, then they could be stressed.

If they're breeding sensitive puppies maybe they should re-think their practice. I've never had sensitive puppies in the 10+ years I've been breeding all my puppies are bomb proof. As far as being stressed about about the airport and flying that can easily be dealt with by doing regular trips out to crowed places I've taken puppies to schools, hospitals, grocery shopping, the beach, and long car rides should feel the same as flying so puppies shouldn't be bothered by the flight.

I would never want a breeder to break the law by taking the puppy in a grocery store or hospital. It is also extremely risky to take pups out now that parvo and the dog flu are on the rise. I don't think having sensitive pups or ones that get stressed out by flying makes someone a bad breeder. Saying that is a little ridiculous in my opinion. It's normal for puppies to stress a little bit about somethings and if they didn't I would be a bit concerned.

1. It's not breaking the law by taking them into hospitals or grocery stores. The doctors and patients love when I bring my puppies never had any problems if anything it cheers everyone up and helps brighten their day as far as the grocery store again never had a problem no one has never said anything the workers and managers are always happy to see new puppies.
2 there's no risk for them catching anything if you carry them and have everyone clean their hands before touching the puppies I carry hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.
3. I never said they're a bad breeder I just said if it's a common thing to have sensitive puppies and you're socializing and getting them and they still are sensitive then they need to re-think either their breeding stock just like you shouldn't breed aggressive dogs you shouldn't be breeding any dogs that are less than sound temperament wise or they need to think about improving their methods for raising a litter. Like I said my puppies are bomb proof part of that is because I only breed confident solid temperament dogs and that is passed down to puppies the other half is because I put in my work to insure puppies are just as confident and solid as their parents.

It is against the law to take a dog in a grocery store unless it's service dog. It's also against the law in a hospital unless a service dog or therapy dog. Eventually the pup will have to go to the bathroom. The risk of parvo is high and I don't think they are being fully exposed to things by being in someone's arms. It would not be bad or unusual for a puppy to stress out on a plane especially when they just left mom and siblings to be handed over to a different person and then handed over again to another different person and put in a new living condition.

I never had a problem everyone knows me. In the hospital never once has anyone ever said you can't bring your puppies. Are there areas I can't go like the surgical floor of course. Since you seem to be stuck on this like I said they can take them to a school talk to the principle about bringing a litter of puppies to visit a class room and while you're there go over the do's and don'ts of owning a puppy or rules on how to properly approach a dog or puppy. The kids are learning and the puppies are socializing. If you know their bathroom schedule make sure to be back home before they have to go you have to be home anyway to feed them their food anyway. Puppies do not have to be on the ground to fully socialize they're still hearing all the noises getting tons of different smells meeting people being in crowds sometimes even getting mobbed when a group of people notice the cute fluffy puppies. I don't even let my adult dogs touch the ground when we're out I either carry them in my arms, or a purse, or depending on where we are going and how much walking I'm going to do they get pushed in a doggy stroller and no I don't even put them down to go potty they know to hold it until we get home.

IMO, I would never buy a pup that had to fly to me. If I wanted it that badly, then I would drive to the breeder.

You might not have been told but it's still against the rules. A class of kids could also be a great way to get them sick or even parvo. Most schools won't let you do that anyway. I'm not a fan of not letting dogs be on the ground where they can sniff everything and enjoy walks. I take my dogs lots of places but don't expect them to hold it all day. You say I'm not letting it go but you continue to respond lol. I disagree with you that's my right.

Lol if you read I said your stuck on whether it's allowed for puppies to go into a hospital and grocery store. I have never met a school who had a problem with letting me go in the class room with the puppies and talk to them about dogs. Once again hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes and they're fine never had a puppy get parvo EVER and I live in California and breed Rottweilers, on top of my toys, they are a breed known for being prone to get Parvo never once have I had a litter get parvo. Puppies can get parvo from families coming to visit them at the breeders house. If you want a puppy that is sheltered and not exposed and is weak in temperament or "sensitive" than fine by me you are more than welcomed to do what you feel is best. Me on the other hand I perfer confident strong puppies that's my view. All my puppies adjust immediately in their new homes they are never stressed or scared the first night all my buyers usually call me to tell me how shocked they were that their puppy slept through the night with no problems and blended and into their new home flawlessly so obviously my methods work extremely well.

Not saying I want a sheltered or whatever pup I'm just saying it would be normal for any pup to be a bit stressed in that case. It wouldn't even mean they were sheltered or from a bad breeder it just happens. There is a fear period at around 16 weeks and even the most exsposed puppies can have a little stress at that time.
