No babies yet. I checked my records and my breeder stated that the best breed was on Nov. 21 making her due on the 23rd. Jasmine is not suffering at all. So, maybe I was just getting too anxious myself. I'm getting ready to take her temp. again and I'll keep you updated. Someone asked where in NC do I live. I live in Madison.

The best breeding is not necessarily the one that impregnated her so you cannot go by that as the exact time. If she tied before that for any period of time..even a few minutes..shcould be further along. If she did the same thing later, that could be the magic day. So, expect puppies any time. What did the vet say when you had her X-rayed? How many puppies and how large? Can their heads fit easily thru the pelvis? I depend so much on these factors. Anyhow, keep us posted!!! If she is in hard labor and pushing, that golf ball sized blob could be a baby's head or butt. Mom's push just like hoomans and you can support that area by holding a washcloth against the area between her vulva and anus and that will help guide the puppy in the proper directing and help delivery...Don't let her push for longer than 1/2 hour to, as some vets say-2 hours..She will need a vet if that happens.. GOOD LUCK!

I called my vet. on Friday and he didn't really see a need to see her. I have his on-call number in case I need him. Looks like I'll be out of work again tomorrow and I think I will take her in if I don't see much progress. She still has that ball bulging out...has to be a puppy there.

Your vet will do a good internal exam and see if she has dilated and that is a puppy there. BTW, do you still feel puppies moving? Can you guesstimate how many and is it the same number that you felt before? I would be surprised if the puppy is down and still moving but these critters didn't read the book!

The stud breeder just called to check on Jasmine. She recommends I take her to the vet. in the morning too. I can't really feel puppies moving but it is still like one is in position. Like I said, I'm new at this so I definitely need all the feedback I can get. Thanks to everyone helping me out. I'm sure I will have more questions and concerns as time progresses.

So, I took Jasmine to the vet. this morning and turns out, it is a false pregnancy. She has milk, has gain two pounds and is still swolen. I am in total shock here!!!

| I am curious, just how often does this happen. You would think with a sucessful tie that there would be puppies. But I am guessing this happens more often than we would think? what happens after a false pregnancy, can they still carry another litter to term, I have heard conflicting statements on this subject? Kerri, I hope all is well for you, I am sure you are dissappointed to not be getting babies, but I will keep my fingers crossed for you for the next time.
