| From the pictures it does look like something is off on her bite or it might must be the pictures. From the pictures it looks like her top and bottom front teeth are not meeting. Are her canine teeth out of place and preventing her from completely closing her mouth? How old is your girl? Does the standard in the UK call for a silky coat? Your girls coat looks cottony. She is pretty though.

As for her canine teeth yes they do usually meet up. Unless she sticks out her tongue and sucks it which she has a habit of doing at times. | |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Her bite really does look incorrect - first it looks like her canines are too long and her front row of teeth do not meet up Bite is difficult to correct - so show her fun as you said and forget about breeding her as her coat looks wooly has not cleared yet - but then some lines don't clear until 2.5 yrs old.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I also in the second pic looks like she is missing at least one front tooth maybe two.https://www.google.ca/search?sourcei...69i57.8655j0j8 Take a look at the attachment and you will see many different bad and good bite examples. Note Yorkies in North America our standard accepts a level bite - but a scissor bite is preferred.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Also if I was grooming her for showring I would not bring a puffy topknot forward over the muzzle that serves to give an even shorter muzzle visually that is. I also would condition the heck out of her coat - I love IOD nutrient masque and please leave in at least 20 minutes. Most especially if I could the day of show. In indoor arenas especially in winter air can be very dry - so I would use a product I believe is called silky sheen - Just several drops on your palms rub your palms together and smooth over her coat.

| Wow gemy thanks you for your replies they're very informative and your help is much appreciated. As for my girls teeth from what i've seen she has a i think a good scissor bite. Her front teeth do meet the bottom teeth and she's not missing any teeth. It's just in the photo she didn't want me in her mouth and was playing up a little. However though on the top part of her jaw at the front her teeth are not perfectly evenly spaced. After the large canine there's gap for the lower canine. Then there's a small canine and incisor then another gap followed by two incisors then another gap and then an incisor and small canine and then another gap and then the large canine. It looks something like this. \/ vu uu uv \/ ../\nnnnnn/\ Instead of like this in my other dogs \/ vuuuuv \/ ./\nnnnnn/\ So that could be my girls problem then ?
