| puppy I am sorry to say, no...my friend freaked out, screaming..I had to make her go in another room..then catch the "no threat" female and pry her mouth open. The pup was so small..another died also, but 3 lived. After that my friend made a whelping room in her downstairs area. |

| Well I am not a breeder per say but I have had 2 successfull whelps one with my poodle whom I had an audience with Makenna my oldest had some friends over to watch then they went to school and told all about it. Shadow allowed anyone to touch any hold the babies and once she wanted them back she would calmly walk up and take it from your hand then lay down and clean them. The other is my pomeranian whom I left alone as I was getting my perm done and I only messed with the pups to check to see if they where boy or girl but she to let us touch and hold and let the other dogs around she even let my female poodle pretend to nurse them as my poodle didnt have pups at the same time and she really enjoyed being a mom. They where both in the crates with blankets, food, water bottle and vitamins. and they were allowed to come and go as they felt it was neccasry(sp)

| I am calm and level headed when it is some other breeders dog. When it is mine I am a basket case when something freaky happens also...A doctor should never deliver his/her own children LOL |

| 1 week prior to the due date from the first mating. I set up the xpen in my bedroom. I confine mom-to-be up there until it's time for the new arrivals. They sleep in my room and on my bed when they are not due to have puppies so there is no need to acclimate. They love the idea of having me all themselves for the next month or so. My moms-to-be really enjoy the extra perks that come with having puppies: More one on one time with me in my room, extra good food, Chicken, eggs, etc.. |
