I do apologize if I have offended any of you, but I do stand by what I said. It wasn't meant to be rude, it was meant as a heads up of what could, and HAS, happened before. I'm sorry if you don't agree with my assessment, that is your right, but let's not act like it never happens. It has happened to ME before because someone didn't agree with something I said or did. I felt a new member deserved a warning.

That said, I will unsubscribe this post and not say another word about it.

Just because what your assessment of other member's comments/reactions to particular posts on this forum, are correct, it really seems to me that such a "warning" to a new poster, serves no good and IMO, causes more harm.....such "warnings" can clearly frighten off new posters, making them terrified of members on here that could possibly provide some much needed assistance in a potentially dire situation. People wring their hands and moan that some members run newbies off with their direct and blunt advice. Well, such "warnings" as was handed to this newbie, within 10 minutes of her post, and the very first response she received, may have very well not only made her flee this forum in fear of being ridiculed and harrassed, but offered nothing in the way of any constructive assistance. Hopefully, the OP is continuing to read posts from other members that may give her some useful help.

It's your opinion though that it's attacking and not just educating. Not sure why you still want to post here if you feel it and we are so terrible. Most of us just want to help people and there dogs. Not everybody is going to agree and I would hope people posting on a message board would know there are going to be a lot of opinions and not all will be the same.

Yep I agree. Those kind of "warning" posts run people off.

You know what? You're right. I DON'T want to post here anymore. I have tried and tried to give the benefit of doubt, but it's just so glaringly clear at this point that there are very few people who can actually get away with being completely honest. If you're not in that circle, God forbid you express an opinion, or people will continue to harp on it even after you've apologized for expressing an opinion. Frankly, I find myself shaking my head at the self-righteousness more than appreciating any advice. Some of you really need to get over yourselves.

So, yeah...I'm done.

You know your intitled to you opinion..... But I'm afraid what you said could have been just as bad as someone attacking the poster and could scare them off. I would think giving the benefit of the doubt would be to wait and see if any one did what you expect them to and then say something or send the person a pm of support. You always get sooooo angry when some points out something you did wrong or feels different then you do and that can make message boards very stressful. Sometimes you have to pause and take a deep breath. At the end of the day most of us care about these dogs and that's what it comes down to not always rainbows and sunshine.

You're not alone. I read the OP post the other day and had the same reaction as you, i just didnt bother to type it...cos...well...you're now seeing why... Lol.

Just think "pot...kettle" and move on. But, gosh don't leave. The air is cleaner outside the circle:)

Two pages of posts and I count 2 posts with actual advice.

Being a first time breeder with 9 pups, the OP likely needs more advice than a post could cover. I PM'd OP and offered to exchange phone # to help to the degree that I can.

I included posts #3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 13 that offered advice regarding care and management of this mom and her litter, both now and in the future as they grow. I am sure the OP will appreciate your contact and offers to answer her questions directly. You will also be able to get a "feel" for exactly what you are working with. That is very important.

I was thinking of posts 6 & 7, but 13 also included something about the immediate situation, which is what I was referring to.

Yeah, I hope she replies. I always wonder about what happened when someone posts about something like this and then you never hear any more about it.
