| Pups are 7 weeks old - Their sweet momma died :( Last Wed my precious Minky was attacked by a coyote and died later that afternoon - I am absolutely heartbroken about her being gone. She was my baby and followed me everywhere I went, when I had to leave she was waiting patiently at the door, I would get up and walk outta any room in the house and she would follow me to my next spot - even if she just got settled - She was the most loyal and loving dog I have ever known. I am so sad I don't know how the despair will ever end…. I know life goes on and the best thing she could have left me were her precious little babies - My sweet momma had 4 puppies July 1st so they are just about 7 weeks old - the vet said the puppies will be fine without her as they were being weaned by momma starting at week 5 - they were already eating puppy food on their own and i've been supplementing the last few days with fresh goats milk a few times a day - they seem to be sleeping ok and active and we do have their daddy and he is very sweet with them and plays and interacts…. But I just wanna know if there is anything I need to be doing to help them adjust or become socialized better now that their sweet momma isn't here to show them. I feel so sad for them that this happened and we all miss her so much - I am so grateful for this forum - It helped me numerous times when Minky whelped and I referred to it almost daily since then regarding different situations. thank you in advance for advising me on this as well |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Little Minky went to rainbow bridge, I am so sorry. How I wish our precious Yorkies would not be gone so soon. I am thankful the puppies will be all right. I will pray for comfort for you . Anytime we lose our babies it is very heartbreaking. Little Minky is running with my Teddy Peanut. How I miss him but I know he is up there playing ball with Minky. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. How heart breaking! Now its up to you to fill in for momma unless you have another willing female that will help out. I'm not sure how/what puppy daddy's teach them. Others will chime in to help I'm sure. Again I am so so sorry!

YT Addict | Awwh, so sorry for your loss. The babies will be fine, I got my pup at 7 weeks and he did fine. He's 14 weeks now and adjusting great to his new surroundings. I am happy that you at least have her babies to comfort you. Glad to hear they still have daddy to teach them. Words can't express the loss you must be feeling. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. I guess it's all up to you to decide about keeping one.... I'd end up keeping all of them, which is why I could never let my girls have puppies. Good luck, it sounds like the babies are all doing well.

| I second that! (Highlighted in red) I could never be a breeder...I would keep everyone of the pups. I would get so attached and could never let them go. Then my DH would move out because dogs would be everywhere! LOL . At least I know my weaknesses and limits!
