I think it is a matter of people jumping to conclusion when they see 3 to 4 lb yorkies on a breeders website. Perhaps it would be less confusing if your sister kept pictures of her breeding stock separate from the pictures of her pets that are not part of her breeding program. Just a suggestion.

I agree it is confusing but I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt without proof when it is a person who also shows her dogs and there are a mix of all her dogs including those who have passed over the rainbow bridge on her page.

Yes, marketing techniques to get hits from google. But I'm not so sure about the actual TAB at the top of the page when you open a website. I'm almost positive those are put there by the web designer. Not just Google deciding to place wording onto a private website.


This entire thing was brought on by one person who ENCOURAGED us to take a look at there sister's Yorkies and she gave out the name. Emerald Isle Yorkies We go to google search the name and then questions her. It's just ridiculous that anyone is coming along to say anyone is doing something wrong. :rolleyes:

I see no where that it says she is a breeder and not a show dog.

My sister will not either and has no reason to.
I had no idea those couple people would run her down without knowing her.
I only posted her info because I was trying to prove I was not the other person these same two people accused me of being. Its no fun being part of a forum with people so judgmental.
So to those couple who don't like newcomers you can keep your forum.

Google/Yahoo/Bing do not control the words you see in the browser tab. The webmaster of the site does. Same for the blue highlighted words you see when you search for a term in any search engine.

Google occasionally adds the source name to the end of the meta title. For instance, if you searched for "Yorkies," and an article came up from wikipedia, Google might add Wikipedia to the end of the title.

The words under the title are mostly controlled by the webmaster too, but sometimes Google will pull sentences from the page.

ReallY? I'm sure a breeder would put just any dog on their website that is selling puppies. Not sure what shows you attend or what knowledge you have regarding showing but even my untrained eye can tell within reason there is no way that Zena is a show dog.

Thanks you! That's exactly what I thought but since I've never owned my own website I wasn't sure how it worked. But was almost positive that Google wasn't controlling the search words or the tabs headers of the actual website. :rolleyes:

If you right click on a website, select "view page source," you see the code and tags as written by whomever puts the site together:

I am telling everyone on here FOR THE SECOND TIME not to post ANY KIND of posts about Me .. My dogs...My kennel or...My web site. Remember your option is one thing when talking about something in general, but when names are mentioned ....the quality of someone's dogs ..tearing someone web site apart...what size her breeding dog are. that's a whole different thing. I do not want to be part of this forum because of a lot of reasons. I will not say any of the reasons because if this goes to court I do not want anyone to be able to say that I said anything slanderous back.
