Leave tails!! I am always searching for Silky's and Yorkie breeders who leave tails. | Many of the folks here who have posted pics with undocked tails show beautiful, full tails. I remember Huey's mother (silky) having an undocked tail, but it wasn't pretty. It had sparse, short hair and looked like a rat tail, so I was glad at the time that Huey was docked. Now, I wonder if his dad's yorkie genes would have produced a nice tail, but dad was docked and I have only seen a pic of him. Quote:

Teddy Bear has a full tail that he holds up proudly over his back and wags back and forth as he walks on our daily walks. It looks like he is waving a flag as he walks. It so much a part of his personality and the way he expresses himself.
Daisy doesn't have a full tail like he does and I think she knows that she is missing a tail. I really do think she knows it. She mainly wags her tail when she is nervous. I always wondered if it is sensitive. She is adorable just the way she is but I wonder how she would be with her full tail. | My parents have 2 King Charles Cavaliers and their red one got tail cancer at 5 years old. (I know...weird-Mom found a mass during a bath) He had to have his tail surgically removed, so he looks like he was docked. Their tricolor (Corky) still has a full, beautiful plumed tail (like Conan had) and I know that Conan misses it & looks at his "brother" with tail envy...:( |
