| Breeding question My sister has a 6lb yorkie, that is in heat, and she has been keeping her away from other dogs, and one of her kids let their Pomeranian dog outside with the yorkie they they tied... My question is, the pom is about 20lbs... Can my sisters dog physically carry them, or what should my sister do? Thanks in advance. |

| You need to find a reproductive specialist because an emergency spay could be more dangerous then a planned c-section.

| Early on in the pregnancy, there does not seem to be the concern about the dangers associated with an emergency spay. Research seems to show risk of hemorrhaging increases during the later half of the pregnancy. |
