| !st time momma Dear Friends, This is my first time to post on a forum, I am glad to be here and would love to hear your opinions. I live in Lima, Peru and brought my yorkie Zara from the States 2 years ago. My Baby girl is expecting for the first time and a sonogram shows that she is due to deliver 3 pups here in a few days, we are at day 57 of pregnancy. Her vet here is a really great guy, but I sometimes tend to think that he might be looking for the extra $$$ (very common here in Peru). He thinks it is necessary to do a C-section maybe even as soon as tonight. (Zara is at the vet now waiting on a 2nd sonogram) Needless to say I am a bit nervous about her doing OK through the whelping process. Any thoughts? |

| Yorkies often need help delivering. Does he think the puppies are to big for her to have herself?

| How much did Zara weigh before being bred? Day 57 sounds too early for me. Is momma having some health issues due to her pregnancy? Can you tell us the exact days she was bred and on what day of her heat cycle she was on when she was bred? If the vet takes the pups to early then they will not make it.

| We made the decision to allow the vet to take the babies,at 57 days. Zara was not doing well, and the pups heartbeats were low. We lost all 5 babies. We are mourning today, but know that God knows and cares even when a sparrow falls so we know he knows about us too! |

I'm so sorry for your loss. I read your post before going to bed and was hoping for the best. I guess Zara was much too young to go through it all at this time. *Abrazos* | |
