Also when you have a Rare Breed even line breeding carries a larger than average risk.

Smaller gene pool, lots of gaps in health knowledge of ancestors, and we can certainly suffer from the popular "stud" syndrome.

Whether line breeding, in breeding or out crossing one should always want the better qualities and that is where researching and studying pedigrees comes into play

know when to line breed and when to outcross! But it's all still a crap shoot unfortunately!
