The fact is that she is more than likely pregnant and your scare tactics and your opinion of what may or may not have happened are way out of line. You dont know this person and if you are not here to help this pup and the OP get prepared for a whelp and welcoming a litter of puppies into the world than maybe you should go harass someone else. I have as much right to let this person know my feelings (on leaving a little female IN HEAT outside ALONE and KNOWING there was a lurking male that she had already got out of her yard) as anyone else, so don't go telling me to go HARASS someone else. This is exactly why most of you won't say what you really want, because there are those like this person that love to make a bad situation worse. When will people here start giving their opinions without worrying what someone like her has to say. I got off of YT for many months because of people just like you, and there are a few super nice long termers that won't even come back because of people like you!! Well it won't happen again. I'm taking a stand!! I'm not the bad guy. I'm a mom, grandmother and great-grandmother that has lived long enough and with enough experience to know when someone needs a wake-up call and I don't need the likes of you to tell me one darn thing! Geesh!

That is not the only outcome for this situation or even in my mind the preferred one. She does not need to get ready a female to whelp from an unknown sire or two or heck even three sires. She can spay this female. And in my opinion that is what she should be getting ready for.

I begged them to come back, but it was this type of mentality that ran them off even after they did nothing but try to help others. Too sad!!! We need it to stop, and the only way to get it to stop is to stand up for our right to speak.

I agree with what she said because you really did sound a bit rude.
I understand your frustration, but somethings can be said a little bit more subtle. It is true that she did wrong by leaving her female unattended while in heat (just leaving her unattended is already bad), but she was asking for opinions, not to be judged (or at least not that way).
If we are going to judge everyone every time they do something wrong, they won't ask for help or opinions anymore because they will be afraid of our reactions. And we won't be able to help them and show them the right way of doing things. We won't be able to teach them, and they will continue doing things the wrong way.

And not because I agree with what someone says, makes me a less nicer person. Just the way you have your opinions, I have mine. That doesn't mean I am a bad person and it doesn't mean you are one.

Anyone that did what she did is really asking for it. She could have left out everything except "is my dog pg" and state the dogs condition. It sounds like she's just stirring the pot here. Why on earth would anyone admit to what she did? No one in my opinion unless they want to sit back and watch the fireworks.

Im sorry that you are angry but your age and your wisdom still do not give you the right to chastise an OP for making a mistake. I am never nor will I ever be afraid to say what I want but I choose to do it with respect. I can and almost always manage to get my point across without being rude.

Most of us would know better to not leave our females who are in heat alone when there is a male near by. Some like the OP thought that her gal was safe behind a fenced in yard. And unless you have ever had an intact male around a female in heat no one can ever know what leaps and bounds they will go to to get to that female. I for one know very well, the OP clearly did not.

Yes I agree the OP needs a reality check, but dont we all. With any hope she will have her gal spayed after this. I pray that this gal does not suffer in order for that lesson to be learned. The hard way !

I'm sorry but I did not tell you to go harass someone else, I just agreed with what someone said. And the part I agreed on was the part of you being a bit too rude, that's it.
The OP did make a mistake but she is human, maybe she did not know better. I'm not here to judge people but to try and help them and for you guys to help me when I have a question or a doubt. I thought that this forum was for that, to be helped and get help. Not to be judged.

Yes there are other options, not that I would ever agree with it but that is a discussion she needs to have with her vet. If all the fact are disclosed they will guide her to make the right choice for her and her gal. Nothing anyone says here in a demeaning and rude manner will help her to make the right decision. She need fact based options not the opinions or rude comments about her behavior or what someone thinks her intention were.

I just don't understand why these threads keep coming up- there are PLENTY of them here on YT and it isn't difficult to search and read and not have to open yourself up to all this drama. WE aren't vets. WE aren't there with your dog. YOU are. Take your dog to the vet and get it over with! Along with that, we don't know for a fact if your Yorkie is purebred from pictures and we don't know how big it will be full grown. We can't guarantee your dog's final hair color either.

So even if a much bigger dog came and mated with a small yorkie you would agree with letting her carry the pups that could kill her?

No Taylor that is not what I am saying and I hope that is not the case here. Certain circumstances need to be handled differently if the life of the female is in jeopardy.

No one but the OP really know all the details and again that is something that she need to discuss with her vet. She came here asking about a blood test. Which I have no experience with so did not reply to.
