Ruby: Puppy Watch / Day 62 Well we are getting close.... (Due Feb. 4th) Temp: Yesterday 1pm 98.1 Yesterday 7pm 100.4 Today 7am 97.9 Today 11am 100.0 We haven't had her spike in temp yet but I expect soon. She still has a good appetite and goes out doors to potty. The kids and I enjoyed felling the pups move around last night. Ruby wasn't too impressed thou, she just looks so uncomfortable. She stays pretty close by my side most of the day and seems to be getting use to the whelping box and cubby. |

She has lost her mucus plug and she is still active and eating regularly. Last temp was 100.1 at 3:30 pm today. She's holding steady at around 98 - 100*. |

She looks HUGE in those pics of her on her bed...looks like more than just 4 babies! How much does mom weigh not pregnant? My Maggie was 5 lbs and she had 6 babies.....and she was HUGE also! |

Update: No change, temp at 11am was 100.5* I take her temp ever 4 hrs and will check back before the end of the night. Tomorrow is her due date I just pray she not go over. I dont want her to have to struggle whelping larger pups. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. They are very much appreciated ! :) |

She is still holding strong at the 99* range. She is due today, Im headed to bed and will check in with you all in the morning. |

No progress and not quit overdue yet, we are at day 66. Temp is staying steady at right around 98.5 - 100.5 I just got off the phone with our vet. She says all is good at the moment as long as she is not showing any signs of labor or destress. If she gets to day 70 and still nothing to take her in. We are keeping her calm and keeping a close eye on her. Temp is 99.9 as of 10 am |

I am sorry.... as large as she is, I would be getting xrays, checking on positions and sizes of babies....absolutely no harm in getting xrays so you can see what you have!!!.....I just like being absolutely certain what I am working with.....every day those babies are in there, they are growing.....! |
