![]() I have this same question posted under general topics as I was new I didn't see my post under the breeding section immediately and thought I did something wrong. Didn't know they had to be reviewed in this section first. Anyway just in case anyone has a question in their minds that I stole this dog looking for a quick buck here is what I posted on that thread. I found a vet clinic that has ultrasound in the office so she will be getting one, no milk yet she threw up a couple times tonight and that kind of freaked me out but we got a box ready just in case but she has settled down. I have ads posted in my local craigslist in 2 places, lost and found and pets it is simple as I was advised by the animal shelter it says where I found her and that is a small dog only, no sex or breed was given. I check craigslist about a thousand times a day as well as local newspaper sites and a few other websites I've found, most people are looking for their stolen microchipped dogs so far I have found no one. I am still holding out hope that her mommy will be found as I was just trying to be nice not looking to spend my entire savings which is very small. I did not steal this dog nor did I want the responsibility of a pregnant dog or any dog but sometimes you have to do what's right not what's convienient.

Hope all goes well tomorrow, and the vets will give you the support you need at your end. Blessings. Xoxo

![]() vet went great today they put her at about 3 years old, she is in good health needs her teeth cleaned, she is having 1 pup it is about 2.5 to 3 inches should be within a week or so, once the pup is born they will go in so she can get a parvo just in case good news is if she gets to stay with is we have decidedd as a family to keep them both even the hubby (a serial lab man) can't bear to part with this angel. The vet also informed me of a spay\nueter clinic that takes place once a month that is pretty cheap.

Pre-op blood work is critical and life saving, as well the type of anethesia used. I always make sure my dogs are the first ones in the table in the morning and they come home with me that night. While I do hope you find her person, I'd ve leary at this point they aren't out pf their mind posting everywhere looking for their missibg girl let alone pregnant dog-she may hace come from an undesirable home or even let loose due to her pregnancy. So sad, please keep updating. Soubds like you're getting her the best of care. Check the sticky here on spay/neuter and maybe the breeding section about diet and suppliments.

| ![]() I agree, if she came from a good home and just accidentally got out somehow, the family would be frantically looking and posting. You would have heard about it by now. The only other thing I can think of is that someone ELSE stole the dog, took her away from her city and found out she was pregnant, then dumped her then the OP found her. Yorkies can get extremely matted in just a few hours out by themselves. She looked so tangle free. But I think what you are doing is right. If no one comes forward it was meant to be. I also agree with the spay/neuter clinics. They don't do pre op bloodwork, and since you don't know anything about this little girl, you won't know how she will handle the anesthesia. There is a lot of varying costs with vets. Call around and see who can do it for less. Bloodwork is usually around $100. Spay usually $150, and meds too. If you can't do it all at once, have bloodwork done a few weeks ahead. As long as she's not sick, the results should still be good until she goes in for the spay.

![]() Thanks for that advice I never thought of that I've only ever had a cat that needed spayed and she was always mine. I didn't ask but I would assume they could fix her then. I did find out that the reason the shelter probably wanted me to hold onto her was that a lot of times they have to abort the babies and fix the mom right away, not because they want to but because they can't handle more dogs at any shelter right now.

![]() I opted to get her an xray instead of an ultrasound she was supposed to go in tomorrow, this puppy was not fully formed I have suspicions that it has been dead for quite some time. I have never seen something so horrible its feet were mnot right and lots of other things but if I say it out loud I will lose it. As long as she seems ok and no temp she will go in tomorrow otherwise it will be off to the emergency room. I HATE whoever did this to her they probably kicked her and her water broke so they kicked her out in the cold. There is a special place in hell for that person I will never get the image of that puppy out of my head it was so horrible and her crying for it so hard. Thank God my kids were still in school. How do you do that to an animal?
