| Still Kennels, Missouri Hello Yorkie Parents, I'm a fresh newbee, seriously inquiring about Still Kennels here in Missouri. I have searched...and searched...and searched. I know there is a 50/50 split between good and bad reviews about this breeder. I know that selling any animal over the Internet is horrid, however, I felt like taking one of those pups in (Yorkshire) ofcourse. I was in the tornado last year and have been needing a small companion to bring a new meaning and chapter to my rebuilt life. I just don't want to waste money on a pup that's truly not a yorkie and instead a silky which is a common rip off to us who can only have a small pet in my new apartment. I would like to hear if any of you have had an actual yorkie from the Stills. I already have a vet and have purchased EVERYTHING he will need when I brang a boy home. I would be driving there! I have read other posts regarding the Stills but they weren't this topic. I noticed they are byb but to save one could save others that they would breed from the little fellow. I planned on getting him spayed as well. He weighed a little over 2 pounds at 8 weeks, so I'm guessing 6 pounder. I'm confused but need a yorkie in my life. I've prayed earnestly that whatever Yorkie I bring home is the one God intended. I just don't need a bigger dog for my apartment because it wouldn't be fair to him. Thanks guys! |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Hi and welcome to YT. I would not get a pup from them. Those buildings are where all the dogs are kept. It is a puppy mill. I would go on the YTCA website or go to petfinder or check yorkie rescues for a pup. Places like that would only give you grief in the future. I have been waiting for my pup. Searching for the right one. I have bought stuff too. But trust me it is worth the wait. |

| Thank you Verbena and GeorgiesMom, TxVicki please be nice about your opinion, all you have to do us point me in the right direction. I am a very understanding person and respects everyone's opinion. Ill rather save a life, rather than a puppy dying from a byb. I will look into the YTCA website, I just need help to be pointed in the right direction. I am new to this, so please respect that. |

| This is a "PUPPY MILL". We got Laddy from them back when we knew no better. He is the joy of our life but he is the product of Father, daughter, inbreeding which we only found out when we got his bogus apri papers back. They are an older couple with over 100 dogs to care for. They are kept in tiny sheds in tiny cages. It is a very sad place these babies are forced to live in. Please don't buy from them. If you put their name in the search here you can read of my experience as well as others with these people. Good luck in your search. There is also one recently who bought a yorkie for her nephew only to find out later it was a silky instead.

| NO TO PUPPYMILLS....This is a puppy mill...please do not patronize places like this... Also, you found YT while searching so I'm assuming your pretty good with a computer...check the YTCA site and YT we have thousands of informational reviews regarding breeders. I too pulled up the site (not the first time I've been on there) and they are a perfect example of the type of place NOT to buy a pup from.

| Thank you guys again, I think I may not get any puppy now. I have even heard that reputable breeders falsify documents under the akc. Yorkie rescue shelters charging outrageous prices and haven't even responded back to me but to my paperwork after 5 months of contacting them. I really want a Yorkshire. Ill check around a see what God puts in my hands. He has the say so. I consider all helpful information from you guys. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | We are here to help whatever you need. I know it is hard to see those pups. But you are going in the right direction by not getting a pup from there and checking out YTCA. The breeders I have found that I talked to are very nice and helpful. Good luck on your search. |

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | I just checked their web site, and the first think I saw was their 'houses' where they keep their dogs. This spells puppy mill to me as others have posted...please dont buy from them...keep looking the right pup will find you. Welcome to YT!!

| Hello and Welcome to YT. In addition to all the sound opinions and advice everyone else has given, I would just like to add that I went and looked at the site, also viewed the Yorkie puppies that are for sale. IMHO they are not good representations of the breed. When it's the right breeder and right puppy for you, you will know it. If you have doubts or questions, then I say trust your instincts and move on. Take your time and research reputable breeders and you will find your new baby soon enough. Best wishes!

| Stills are a puppy mill. I got my Yorkie from them and she is a product of inbreeding. She is underweight and does not get along with other dogs despite socializing her from a pup. I love her regardless and glad I could save her, but I would NOT recommend giving these people your money. This would only continue their puppy mill. |
