I had Delilah AI, today, I am hoping for a good litter..

I AM SO HAPPY... my regular vet palpated Delilah on saturday and she was unsure, then again yesterday and YES, she can feel at least 4 size little walnut size bumps in there... , i am super, super happy, she also got an injection to relax her uterus, she was not eating and feeling very unconfortable, so she suggested it and today she is more happy she even wanted to play a bit this morning with her mama. I did not let them rough house, since I am still very nervous about this..LOL I know I have to relax and enjoy her pregnancy.. I just got pictures of the Stunning Stud.. I will be sharing soon.. I took a picture of the little belly too..

They look at a sample under the microscope. They take a count of a few fields of one microscope slide and get an average. They look for the number of swimmers, if they are fast or slow, if any look deformed in any way. They know the number for an average count (I don't, lol), so if it's a good specimen, then the count was at least average... maybe a bit above.

I think if the sample was bad (very low count of live, active sperm), or mishandled and all the sperm died, they would cancel the procedure. Or in the case of a low sperm count, they would tell you and ask how you want to proceed: try with the sample or request another sample from the stud.

thank you, I had a good talk with a breeder that AI all her bitches, she said is the way to go, she explained everything to me in a way that I was able to understand and apreciate all that goes into it. I would recomend this to anyone looking to breed her bitch to a great stud that is not right there to breed. It cost me a bit but I would do it again , my nerves are starting to settle now that I know she is pregnant and I just got a do what I do best , take care of her..
