Well I am off to get a good nights rest. I guess still might be a few days. Her temp was 98.5 at 9:30pm then 99.8 at 11:30pm. She went out to go to the bathroom twice tonight but didn't go once she was out there. She just walked out sniffed in a normal spot then walked back in 2 different times. She is so tired here so I guess we are off to bed. Looks like we can at least count on one nights good rest tonight.

I wonder if we stress the dogs out because we are stressing! When I saw
the temp thing and 97. something everything on internet said within 24 hours. I called the vet and the emergency vet it was last the second time and he told me to watch for the nesting digging and if she was crying in pain or any of that bring her in, but she was just wadling around normal.. then I stoppped stressing and her temp went back to 99 and even to 100.1 and then a week later she started the nesting, running in circles with a toy baby and digging ect...and had her babies, but her temp was 99.9. The week before I kept taking it every 2 hours like the info said.
So Maybe we can stress the dog if we are stressing they are so intuned with us.. the dog knew what to do.

removing the tail/docking.. so my mom wants one and wants the tail short,
I told her it might hurt I cant do it or take her in or watch ... can a vet do it at home? does it bleed a lot
I think the little dogs look cute with fluffy tail, but I don't show dogs or a breeder, and when they are so little 3 and 4 lbs to me they are cute. But
if that is what my mom wants i will do it, she was also heart broken when we lost our silver yorkie he had a small tail.

The tails need be docked when they are between 3-5 day's old. After that it is considered an amputation and yes it will hurt.

Oh wow ok thank you! just going to do one of the 2 pups. if i can get to it fast enough they were born late night on the 19th. Thank you for your reply its appreciated.

Well a few days have gone by and no puppies yet. No nesting and no panting. I was actually able to go to work for a bit today. (husband was home and I only work a mile from the house). I have been trying to be more calm. Just saying it happens when it happens. It is still hard though because I can't wait to see my baby have her babies. Maybe I should start a movie or something. LOL.

Thats when it will happen, when you sit and stop stressing about when their coming and start a movie, I missed trueblood so i thought ok i will watch it now and then it happened.

Oh I wish I missed a true blood. Gotta wait for it to come on tomorrow.

I just took her for a "walk" (end of our street and back) And she had a stool but the last piece was a mustard yellow. It wasn't runny but was different color then the rest of it. The rest was dark brown.

Is that normal?

My girls typically have soft stools prior to whelping.

Another different stool. This one looked a little bloody and mucasy. (sorry for the grossness it's just something I have not seen before) Not a ton of it just some thru out. I did give her some ham last night and this is the first stool since then.

Well she had a loose dark stool tonight and yellow discharge coming out of her vulva. She is very restless too. And I just took her temp and it was 97.7 which is the lowest yet. I think it might be happening soon.

Well temp was still low this morning and we are now having contractions. There was digging a min. ago. Still no panting but heavy breathing. I can visibly see the contractions.

So first 2 puppies born. Mama is loving the puppies. Still have 2 more to go but puppies are latched on and eating. I will weigh them during the other 2 births. Have a good size boy and a small girl. So excited.
