BTW...I have a Biewer that is obviously a product of bad breeding. VERY Pink skin, color patten all wrong, deaf and heart issues...I wonder how many people would have kept her or been able to afford to keep her? I've spent a ton of money on my Biewer so far. I imagine as the demand for them increases (IF) and the breeds in of themselves become less rear then you will see more in rescues, just like every other breed that has way too many in rescues, thats just common sense. My Miss Mini is a standard Yorkie who has spent her whole life ill and at 7 years old has yet to go three months without an ailment requiring Vetting and medications. She was born in a puppymill, at 8 weeks sent to a broker HUNTE CORPORATION and shipped from them to NY...because of the popularity of the breed here. So In that respect...I know for certain bad breeding is already going on in the Biewer which is still a rather rear breed...and definitely in the Yorkie... my 2cents! |
